Default what is wrong with drivers in socal?

A few months ago I was hit on the side of my car by a lady who used a center left turn lane to pass traffic. It cost over 6k in damage. A few months before that, a friend of mine, username klumzyee, was cut off by a driver while it was raining and his car spun out and was totalled. i cant even name other instances in between that have happened to people i know. all occurrences of some driver that wasn't driving safely. just today, my friend's car was hit by an 18 wheeler because the truck driver wasn't paying attention to the road.

i never hear the end of accident stories that are caused by carelessness, esp here in socal. have any of u noticed the carelessness of drivers out here too? thank you to all who hear me out.

Time to go to church! LoL

Yeah, sorry to hear. I guess the only way I look at it is if you drive a lot. I remember my wife would constantly tell me that I see too many accidents, as if I attract them. I'm like damn.... I just drive a lot, not my fault I get to see all these accidents.

Hopefully your friend's G35 didn't suffer too much frame damage. It'll probably be best to just get rid of the car than to get it fixed.

The easy answer is that there are too many people on the road who should not have driver's licenses.

Considering the number of deaths, injurry and financial damage caused a year by poor motorist, it should take a 90% or better to pass the driving test not 70%.

they actually did a study on this which i saw on CNN, 80% of recent accidents were due to "distractions"... most bad drivers nowadays are distracted by #1 CELLPHONE USAGE, then there are other minor things like reading a book, playing with a radio, fiddling with a TV headunit, mp3 player, drinking a drink, eating... they actually placed small video cameras in over 60 cars in 2 months from LA county drivers....

also i do agree there are alot of people that shouldnt be on the road that are on it and the HP upgrade now from the factory cars is at its all time greatest, compare the amount of traffic within the past 5-10 years, it has gotten really bad and will only get worse....

honestly if i had a bullet for every bad driver i would encounter too and from work commuting i think i would go through a few clips a day, f*cking morons cutting in and out of carpool, cars traveling 80 mph average, unlicensed drivers, abundance of younger drivers etc....

It does take two to tangle and I've avoided serveral accidents because I've learned to expect the other idiot and to always have an escape.

Recently in the Z I had a guy in a huge Chevy truck that was lifted merge square on at me on a side road where the speed limit was 45 mph. He didn't look to his right where I was sitting a comfortable distance from the guy in front of me. He might have glanced at his mirrors but didn't notice that I been along side him for a block or more in distance. When I noticed his front tires turning at me I had to merge into the "parking lane" and drove side-by-side next to him blaring on my horn. Dude didn't even acknowledge me.

A few weeks ago I had a lady in an H1 run a red light. I was the second car at the light when it turned green and because they had one of those dips in the road I came to a crawl and crossed it. By the time I had got across the intersection the H1 coming at me in cross traffic had only slowed down enough to run though the corner. I came to a complete stop as she drove through her red light in front of me. Again with the horn. This time I was acknowledged as she had her window down and it was hard for her to continue her cell phone converstation with my aftermarket horns blaring. I came along side her and she yells at me that she had the green light ... yeah sure butch whatever. I needed the left lane so I out accellerated the Hummer and pulled well in front of cell phone lady. She comes up on my rear bumper so close I can see the bugs stuck in her grill tailgating me to the extreme. Fine. I pull over to let her pass and to record her tag number. Now she starts speeding up and jamming on her brakes ... fine, lady, do you think it's possible you can out accellerate or out stop a 350Z?

I followed her to her job at the local elementary school ... I just hope she's the lunch lady or the playground monitor and not an educator.

The whole society is only concerned about themselves. They care not for common manners or even give an attempt at being polite. In their cars they can be completely selfish. I see the same sort of behavior in the grocery store or department store check-out lines. I let an elderly woman "cut through" the line as she was looking for the current TV guide ... someone jumped their cart into the gap I had opened for the lady to pass. I said excuss me in my broadcaster's voice and she ignored me. So I walked up right behind her and did the same ... she said she didn't see me standing there. I helped her see the end of the line behind me and three other people.

It's just like that here now. Too many people living too close together without and ounce of manners.

A few magazines a day - clips are found in WWII rifles like the M1 Garand rifle.

Default accidents

I just saw a TV show about a top 100 bizzarre aacidents, and this one lady claims that she got in to an accident minutes after obtaining her license. After that, she has caused about 25 accidents within 6 years. So she switched to a bicycle, and crashed it too. One of the accident, her friend stated she was scratching her leg with her head down, then rear ended somebody.

They gotta stop giving these things with every happy meal!

Respect and road manner is being replace by selfishness. Be prepare, have an escape route, assume eveybody is an idiot until they have proven themself otherwise with good judgement. Look before you crosses the road, even when you have the right away. Thats how you have to drive if you want your car in one piece. I constantly shadow brake at every intersection, even at 3am.

What's the deal with the people making left turns at intersections now? Even after their green arrow turns red, even after your light turns green, you still have 5-6 drivers going on a red arrow. Then those chumps are stuck in the intersection because traffic is backed up, and the people trying to go on green are stuck.

I usually start heading towards them, making them think that I'm going to ram them.
