Question Empty parking lot to lay rubber on?

Anyone know a good LARGE parking lot near the LA area thats empty late nights where I can go put the handling to some drifting tests?

I've been consdering heading to willow springs soon and would like to get to know the car better before I hit the track with other (and aggressive track-heads)

Every try the CSUN lot. Lassen and Lindley,

There is Sesnon @ Porter Ranch Drive. Ya know where the toys r us and best buy are? take that street all the way up til you get to the gated community and turn right. very light traffic especially late at night. You can try the k mart lot late at night. watch out for the light poles. they turn off the lights late at night. and then there is the lot that has a gate around it across the street from the mall. I think it's the teledyne lot and i think they leave the gates open. That lot isn't very well taken care of though. lots of weeds and cracks and stuff, but it's empty.

The winnetka theater lot I think is closed now. they only open it on larger nights. plus that have security. If you go, let me know. I'll bring out my beater car and have some fun sliding around in that. Or, if you wanna do canyon runs, i'm down.

I've been thinking about this - are there any docks down @ port of LB or LA that might be open late at night, or that you could palm $10 to a security guard to let you play around for a while out in their lot? I mean, out there you should have decent conditions, as well as low numbers of obstacles, as well as decent lighting usually as well.

If you find one, lemme know, I'll come with you!

oh... that would be so much fun.. to drive around the docks..

biggest problem: losing control and ending up in the harbor. that would suck.

Does this post make sense to anyone else, cause I can't figure it out at all...

But anyways, if you happen to know some dock where we can run amuck for a few minutes without getting in trouble, please post!

I don't have a z though, but would really wanna see some action.

hey L28 have you seen the thread over at 350zmotoring.com

they are doing this huge video shoot on the east cost with Z's one guy is heading up the pack. I suggested doing on in LA, like in Downtown LA, but there wasn't much response on that forum.

Go check it out. i'm sure it will interest you.
