Default E55 AMG on Sepulveda...fun fun.

At least I can say he must have been VERY ANNOYED that everytime the road started to do something other than go straight I was instantly on his a$$ again.

"Hi! Yeah, that's me in your mirror again, riding yer a$$"

In the straights though, wow, that thing MOVES.

Sepulveda is where I like to test out traction, bed in brakes etc. It's a nice street... but I'm always worried about cops. Even though there are a lot of parts where you can see far in both directions, there are some parts with a lot of side streets. If a cop happens to be coming down a side street... its gonna suck

Actually in one run I was doing with a 3-Series, we both FLEW past a cop coming the other way. Took me a week to get the smell of my own sh-- out of the car.

Thing is, we were going so fast, he never bothered to turn around. I still hid just in case. Closest I've come to getting my car crushed.

I doubt you guys were at the limits, so the benz with a decent driver would still be able to keep it's distance in the turns.

Have fun man, but I'd be annoyed too if you were riding my bumper.

Do you even know how ANNOYING that is? I have had ricemobiles ride my azz many times before. I leave them in the dust, slow back down, and there they are!! I'm sure that driver felt the same about you.

Try that with an SLK 55 AMG. That thing would put our cars to shame!

Um guys, he's was the a$$ that flew past me at 100mph, then cut me off and slammed his brakes. That's what started the entire chase.

Christ, I better remember to post the entire story next time. Why the hell are you guys even on this 350z forum if you're so quick to an assume anti-rice stance? Guess I need to "cross my Ts and dot my Is" with this bunch.

And for the record, he never SLOWED DOWN. He only slowed in the turns to about 75mph, that's HARDLY SLOWING down. He did that because he didn't want to push the car any harder in the turns. As soon as he hit the exit of the turn he slammed it back up to 100mph easy.

"Try that with an SLK 55 AMG That thing would put our cars to shame!"?????

Do you have any idea about what you are talking about do you even know the specs of the cars you are writing about?

An E55 has 469 hp and around 515 lb. ft of torque the slk 55 has 360 hp it actually uses the old E55 engine (2002 and before) the E55 outperforms the slk 55 so your post makes very little sense.

As for the post by Mr. Q and then the second post sticking by his viewpoint that the E55 was pushing his car and he was keeping up congrats on defying the rules of gravity and velocity. Somehow your Z which with the mods you have listed (which should pull a high 13's second run) keeps up with a car that does mid to low 12 right out of the box. Great congrats!!!!! And by the way this only goes for an 2003 and up E 55 is you are talking about the 02 or before then the numbers are quite different.

Hmm....once again a person replying who thinks all drivers must be equal.

The entire point of my post, like most my kill stories, is that the driver just didn't know wtf he was doing. He could have had 1000hp and super glu for tires and I would have stayed with him.

I am fully aware he SHOULD have beaten the pants off me. That was the point of it.

Oh less you forget the difference, weight, superior handling, and competance in the driver's seat can give you...watch this.

"He could have had 1000hp and super glu for tires and I would have stayed with him."

That is the dumbest thing you could have possibly said. Why b/c you are gods gift to drivers?

I dont think all drivers should be or are equal but I know that an E55 is an automatic car and especailly on the highway or a road that you can maintain the speeds you are talking about drivers skill really has no bearing. The point is heezyo2o original comment of I doubt you guys were at the limits stands true. And if you want to believe that the driver has so much to do when a 287 hp car with maybe an extra 20hp runs with a stock 470hp car then you can keep writing these foolish posts. Tomm you can write a post about beating the Enzo and tell us that the you are a great driver and it meant everything in the twisties and I laugh at you again.

And that 5 minute video was great at proving nothing. What am I supposed to see from watching that??

weight, superior handling, and competance in the driver's seat can give you.

And you also believe that your Z's outhandles the E55? Common its no fun even answering you at this point b/c you have no clue what you are talking about. Do you have any idea of what kind of suspension the e55 comes with or how good the car handles. Go read up a bit before you make your self look any more foolish.

NO way your Z (light modified) can keep up with 465 hp Monster E55 AMG unless the guy was toying with you.

Actually SLK AMG 55 is slower than E55 AMG. SLK AMG only has v8, e55 has a supercharged v8.

HAHAHAH....never said that and no, of course not.

Why is it every time kill stories 'like this' are posted these people come on here not having a clue to the content and intent?

As an owner of both a CLK55 AMG and a 350Z, he could have smoked you if he liked. Especially, the E55.
