Heading to Church Dyno for Tuning Saturday
Thanks for all your input over the past month or so, I am heading to see Shawn today at 2:00 PM for dyno tuning. Anyone else in the area?
We are gonna stop at Alpine Village in Torrance for lunch today first, then to Church.

Call Shawn, I know I had to schedule some time before hand but that was because he is going to spend up to 2 hours on my car.

Wow, what an afternoon.. Got to Church and watched Shawn tune a couple Hondas. One little Civic was putting out over 250 whp normally aspirated.. Holy crap..
So we get my car on the dyno and he notices that I am only getting 5lbs of boost. I am having serious belt slip. He uses a little "carpet glue" spray on the belt and back to 8lbs. At 8lbs, the car put down a base run of 330 HP around 6600 or so. After an hour playing with maps, we were up to 390HP at the WHEELS.. The stock tune on the Split Second box had an A/F of 10.5-1. REALLY RICH.. He leaned out the mix a little in the lower range and set the top end at 11.8, the final run netted 400 WHP! I am very happy. I need to tension the belt now, need to find that somewhere.. I am sure it must be fairly simple, I am assuming the belt has a spring loaded tensioner that I can preload a little???
Anyway, need to get that belt tightened up then really need to get a boost gauge and A/F meter installed.

You dont really need to raise it up, but i guess it does help to get underneath. A serp belt is supposed to be tight, cog belt not so tite....stop worrying and just do it.
