Default Firestone Messed up!

Hey Fellas,

I brought my car to Firestone today to get my wheels aligned and the very first question i asked the receptionist is "would the machine scratch my rims?" and she said "no, they have this special tip that doesnt harm anything" then i said "are u sure?" and she said "yup". So after waiting 3 hours they finally finished my car and i didnt even bother to look at my rims cause i wanted to get outta there so bad. When i get home i looked at my rims and the first thing i notice is each rim has 4 dent/scratches on them right where the machines tips were.
I called them right when i noticed that and they said to come in tomorrow morning and we'll work something out, but i think they aren't going to accept my solution, I want new rims or atleast what I paid for them. What can I say/do? and what can I expect them to say?
Thanks all

-Frank

When I went to the firestone to get an oil change, I guess the guys working there didn't know how to reverse my car, so I saw them pushing my car back out from the garage, then driving it to the parking lot. Then when I got home, I saw a dent in my front bumper.

you're pretty much out of luck since you didnt say it on the spot. But since its on all four wheels, you can use that as evidence..

correct, since I was not there to prove it, I couldn't do jack, and when I called my insurance, they told me the same thing.

But since you've actually called them and notified them, I'm sure you could work something out. Anyway good luck tommorow.

well i work for a FIRESTONE but its in san diego. as for the complaint just work the hell out of it. call the comsumer affairs hotline on the back of your reciept, we call it the 1-800-FREE-**** line. give them a good complaint and all your problems are solved.

as for the alignment, the heads actually do go alittle into the rim, but they are meant to attach onto the rim and not scratch it.
sucks to hear.
