well the Z in America isnt exposed to the NA tuners like in JApan theyre all NA for track" Esprit, Tomei, Mines.. etc
making roughly 350 hp or so tuned...
Z guys never touch cams, headers, tuning thats why noone makes it over 300ish
its okay but if you really want to extract power from the VQ its possible Tomei has a 400 hp NA track car with endliess i believe

Z guys dont really touch the internals of the cars or play with it, the VQ screams for NA tuning etc but Z guys dont really have the ***** to touch the insides or dont really want to...
Japanese tuners well.... their R & D is insane over there when i was talking to Eijisan from Tomei he told me it took their guy roughly 2 years to produce headers !!! to extract and make the right amount of power and balance of the car.. thats INSANE !!!!
no offense but compare the US car scene to Japanese car scene when we open up an Option 2 magazine the beautiful cars we see if not all RUN on track or are built for performance
the US on the other hand the majority of cars out here are built for show, many of them never see a track or street but have the best possible mods you can put into suspension etc....
now Andy from Performance i respect same with Bryan of Mackin their cars look good, are show worthy, daily driven and have been on track !!!! Fred Chang of jtuned.com Gold RSX was not only daily driven i saw it everywhere in Rowland and Irvine but competed in Road and Track and destroyed an Enzo on slalom
those are the people who i look up to have good looks can rule the show scene and track their cars driven daily
i dont hate on show cars but i dont understand the whole point of cages, seats, and $2k suspension that isnt put into good use they dont even drive them to the shows they are towed

god I need to get my HFCs. Why do I have to be such a cheap bastard. I really want to know how close I can get to 300rwhp with the tune.

Actually I have pretty much everything including tuning except for cams. Even if I do get cams I still won't be able to crack 300whp.
My Z has about 320 flywheel hp right now but I highly doubt cams will give another 30hp.
It's just too bad that we cannot use the japanese ECU ROMs.
I'm aware that Japanese tuners make more N/A power Zs but it's just not an option available to us so it doesn't matter won't it.
Plus what I consider fast is at least 400whp now lol at least.

you can break 300 hp with cams definitely depending on your tuning, tomei, greddy, nismo r tune , bc are to name a few
cams make a huge difference thats were most power is extracted in cams and tuning...... tomei is coming out with a reytec rom tune system which is gangsta......
bryan crower has a stroker kit for the Z
youre idle becomes a bit nutty with cams though and it depends on what you want the power for for fun driving NA is fun but turbo is more fun, lighten the hell out of your car which will help too just buy this unsafe CF crap all over and paint it body color

That was with HKS exhaust though. I probably lost a few hp now that I have Nismo.

I will think about cams...only if it didn't cost so much to install sigh.
I probably saved close to 90-100lbs on my car though.
Ditching the spare, swapping stock cats, lighter pulley, and racing clutch/flywheel, etc etc.
Dunno still feels too slow..I would've had aps TT by now if I didn't buy that Elantra last year haha but oh well.
Off to work!
