Default 55 days, first z ticket.

damn.

so i'm up in berkeley for the weekend and since i went to school here i've done the drive on the 5 at least 20 times. only gotten one ticket for speeding on it with my old 1993 honda accord.

i've had the z for 55 days and an hour and half into the drive north.....

he clocked me at 122...... i suppose im grateful he didnt catch me when i hit 140+ a few times..double the speed limit must be even worse than 122. funny thing is as i was flying down the road trying to get the hell away from this idiot who thought it'd be funny to try to block me from going around him [um, not funny, not on a 2 lane truck-ridden freeway] i passed a bridge/onramp/offramp and was just screaming to myself in my head 'oh f*** oh f***' cuz i KNEW there'd be cops around yet at the same time i was crooning 'oh baby, oh baby' to the z cuz it's just TOO SMOOTH. im sure you guys know the feeling.

four miles down the road i glance in the rearview and almost jump out of my seat cuz there's a cop literally inches away from my bumper. and then his lights start flashing.

and of course, my luck, he pulls me over where the cows are [if any of you have driven that middle-of-nowhere stretch of the 5 you know what i'm talking about...that huge, packed, smelly, sad cow farm] and simply goes "why were you going so fast?" i reply as i point to the cows "to get away from the smell. " he doesnt find this amusing. he says "four miles back you can't smell this." i say "yeahhh you can, i've driven this route a million times the stink travels for miles." he goes "i've worked this route for five years. no."
i gave up.

so of course my feminine wiles completely failed me when i half-heartedly tried to play off that there's no way i was going 122. he was a man of remarkably few words and didnt seem interested in cleavage. maybe he was gay.

he did mark it as an infraction, not a misdemeanor. i dont even know what counts as a misdemeanor. i dont think i'd like to find out.

the time on the ticket was 4:20.

Good luck with it!

If you don't have any tickets in the last 18 months, pay the fine, and beg for traffic school?!?!

Good job trying to fight a cop over you doing 120. I recently got pulled over doing the same speed, we both should have gone to jail on the spot.

I got a ticket, infraction/misdemeanor left blank. I expect to lose my license for 30 days. Did your office make any mention of that? CHP???

first, no cleavage shots, sorry.

second, yes i was driving like an idiot but that's what a straight open road allows one to do. jail is not the answer to every idiot act. and i wasnt really asking for sympathy, just sharing a stupid story

i know it'll be expensive and will screw with my insurance and crap but....ohhh well, **** happens.

i really wasn't trying to fight him i was more laughing it off like no way, i wasn't going 122.......

and yes, a radar detector is next on the list. false signals be damned!

my dad just laughed his *** off when i told him.
