It depends on the judge. I went 125+ on the same road up to Mountain View / SF. I had to drive back from LA to Firesboro or some crappy town to see the judge. License suspension and jail time is up to the CHP and judge. If you didn't get jail time, you won't get it. You'll see about suspension at court. The judge was nice and just gave me a fine. I chatted with the CHP and he just gave me 101mph instead of 125+. Expect your fine to be about $1400, 2 points on your driving record, and you won't get traffic school because that type of speeding doesn't qualify.

Be polite to the judge. You rather get the 2 pts than suspension of license. As for radar, they pace you at that speed. They usually don't use radar at those ghetto cowlands haha.

BTW, I agree that you can smell the cows miles from there. I usually do recycle when I start hitting uphill because I know the cows are coming

UPDATE:
i ended up hiring the lawyers at sherman m. ellison attorneys for the first ticket, in fresno county, that was for 122mph in a 70mph zone.
http://www.traffic-ticket-attorney.c...ic_ticket.html
and after lots and lots of extensions and whatnot, i got a call from them today telling me my case has been COMPLETELY DISMISSED!!!!
DAMN THE MAN! THE SYSTEM CAN BE BEAT!!!!!!!!!!!
"Hi Naeiri,

Congratulations, your 22348 (b) speeding ticket was dismissed at trial. There is no fine, your license will not be suspended and no points will go on your record. This e-mail is being sent to you so that you will have a paper record of sorts from us about this case. If you have any questions about this e-mail, please call me at (818) 994-8888.

Thank you,

Mark Schraeder
Law Offices of Sherman Ellison"

woooooooohoooooooo.
my bail was something around $820... it's gonna be like christmas in august when i get that back
the lawyers are definitely worth it. they originally quoted me $3500, i got them down to $2600. considering the court was in a different county, and they'd take care of all the traveling and showing up in court and whatnot, and i literally had to do NOTHING, this was WELL worth it.

Wait a minute.

You paid these monkeys $2,600 bucks to get a few extensions for you and to drive a few counties over?

OMG, I'm in the wrong freakin business.

$2600 is not too bad considered that you didnt have to travel, they didnt suspend your license, no point of your record and insurance will not go up and you will get bail money back.

um. no. they filed who knows how many subpoenas, and a WHOLE lot of other crap. the $2600 covered ALL court costs, which would have added up to somewhere around that much, including my travel costs, and considering how i drive, and my luck, i would probably have gotten another ticket or two going to/coming from court. i fully consider this money well spent.

As long as its worth it to you. I hate tickets, thats why I drive slow on the streets and highways. Canyons are a different story.

i've had the z for 55 days and an hour and half into the drive north.....

he clocked me at 122...... i suppose im grateful he didnt catch me when i hit 140+ a few times..double the speed limit must be even worse than 122. funny thing is as i was flying down the road trying to get the hell away from this idiot who thought it'd be funny to try to block me from going around him [um, not funny, not on a 2 lane truck-ridden freeway] i passed a bridge/onramp/offramp and was just screaming to myself in my head 'oh f*** oh f***' cuz i KNEW there'd be cops around yet at the same time i was crooning 'oh baby, oh baby' to the z cuz it's just TOO SMOOTH. im sure you guys know the feeling.

four miles down the road i glance in the rearview and almost jump out of my seat cuz there's a cop literally inches away from my bumper. and then his lights start flashing.

and of course, my luck, he pulls me over where the cows are [if any of you have driven that middle-of-nowhere stretch of the 5 you know what i'm talking about...that huge, packed, smelly, sad cow farm] and simply goes "why were you going so fast?" i reply as i point to the cows "to get away from the smell. " he doesnt find this amusing. he says "four miles back you can't smell this." i say "yeahhh you can, i've driven this route a million times the stink travels for miles." he goes "i've worked this route for five years. no."
i gave up.

so of course my feminine wiles completely failed me when i half-heartedly tried to play off that there's no way i was going 122. he was a man of remarkably few words and didnt seem interested in cleavage. maybe he was gay.

he did mark it as an infraction, not a misdemeanor. i dont even know what counts as a misdemeanor. i dont think i'd like to find out.

the time on the ticket was 4:20.

HAHAHA!!
