well, tomorrow is the moment of truth. If my new tires are fitting then I'll run but just low boost since I didn't get my cage done in time.

are you running Derek?

I'll be there sunday for the car show.

Thomas are you going to be there on sunday to run or just sat?

I'll join you in racing next season, when I finish a few new things, see what my ride can do....

Unfortunately not. This is the 3rd event that I have been planning on attending and something hs gone wrong. The car was at GT Motorsports getting the final tune done in time for the event and we kept snapping belts due to the jackshaft pulley seizing up/stopping at high rpms and shredding the teeth right off the belt. You can't even turn the pulley with you hand.

So...Instead of running my car at the event I have to drive to Oxnard, 2 hours away, and drop off my car at Vortech.

Good luck tomcat.

I only got in one run today. I broke yet another wheel stud but fortunately had some help to replace it. But by the time we were done there was only one more qualifying run. Since it was the first time ever for me on the new setup I only managed a 12.1 at 118 mph.
I'm going back tomorrow and hope to manage a decent qualiying run.

You and I had some bad luck this year in regards to our cars didn't we...)

I was wondering if you qualified or not. What is the cutoff? I know that the pro-am fwd guys was 10.41.
I was the guy in the silver G my best so far is 13.045 @109 with my ST. I thought I would see CC out there. Today was the first time taking the car down the 1/4. Well good luck tomorrow I hope that you qualify.

Sat was qualifying, Sunday was eliminations.

Well, I qualified with a 12.06 at 120 mph. My new dr's were a bit too beefy and got me bogging on the launches. I had to launch at 6500 rpm in order to get a good launch.
During the first elimination run I had a great launch but when I hit 2nd gear I suddenly heard a loud burst and the car started slowing down. I first thought I'd blown the engine but then I heard the clincking in the rear. I made it back to the pit area and my CV-Joint literally exploded. The Axles looked fine though. Pisses me off because Driveshaft Shop insisits on that the oem CV-Joints are sufficient on their axles...that is obviously not true.

I had the car towed to Perf Nissan after having to wait over 3 1/2 hours for a tow truck and pay them $220 because AAA refused to pay for it since I was raicing....Now this was at the AAA Dragstrip, on a AAA Sponsored event with the announcer repeatedly saying "and if your car breaks AAA will happilly tow you home..." BULL****!

Anyway, I'm glad that it wasn't anything major but I'm done for this year racing. I hope I get my car back before Thanksgiving...
