Default My Ticket!!!! Tinted Window Update

I got my ticket Info in the mail and it wasnt like i thought. It is either $131 dollars or a fix it plus $10 bucks so that talk like its a flatt fine the first time and double the second is not true or hasnt been implimented yet. So my next question is does anyone know someone i can take it to and get it written off without taking my tint off? or does it half to be where the paper says wich is in palm springs. Does anyone know a sherriff that would do this in palm springs?

You can actually go to any police or CHP station for it, but you must have the tint removed.
They won't sign the paper unless the tint is removed.

you can drive and meet me in person and give me 20 dollars, I would do it.

no, but really. To just have it written off without the actual removal is a very risky move for police office, cadet, community service officer, etc.

not very many people able to write it off will take the risk

You have to remember that if the situation blows up, a judge will always believe the officer over the civilian in that the officer will say that the tint was actually off (when it wasn't) and you take the hit again.

On my other car, years ago, I had a cop that was toolazy to walk out of the dept to inspect my car. He just wrote it off and with a smile said, 'if you get caught an hour from now, they'll believe that you just got the tint reinstalled'.

If you pay the fine, you don't have to remove the tint.

+1. I roll both windows down everytime I see a cop. Window tint tickets are the stupidest "reasons" to cite someone. There are pedophiles, murderers, robbers, rapists, and rapists who rape rapists out there...

A friend of mine has done that before successfully... You could just borrow another Z, same color as yours with NO window tinted, and change you lisence plate onto it, and bring it to CHP to be written off. Then 10 bucks and go.

If the CHP wants to check the VIN then you go to prison...

Not so ghey if a cop walks up to a car at night and gets his head blown off cuz he never saw the cannon pointed at his face. But I guess that's beyond most people's comprehension.

Bottom line, people know that tinted front windows are illegal in Cali, so that's the chance they take when THEY CHOOSE to have it put on. It's YOUR decision so you can't blame anyone else.

The cops enforces the law, they didn't write it. Write your representatives and legislators if you want to make a change. Cops are not that high in the food chain. JMHO

There is truth to what you write. However, cops DO have an incredible amount of discretion! If you kiss the cops *** or whatever, some people get off. Others get the full brunt of the legislation. Cops aren't as mindless and indiscriminative as your post leads on. For example, I have noticed that cops in larger cities tend not to sweat the "little" stuff as much as cops in small suburban areas with not much crime.

So, for your example--instead of sweating tint, maybe cops should be more concerned about the sales and trafficking of unregistered firearms?

I would like to read about one incident where this was the case. there are several million people who illegally tints there windows and never heard any death cases because of it, EVAR!

The sun jacks up your interior and it impairs driving. Reversing a law is mere impossible and just doesn't happen. I've signed over 10 opposing tint and front plate law petitions and they'll sit under a huge stack of papers for 8 years before it gets looked at, only to be rejected. Cops gives people as much crap for not having a front license plate. Are cop's life in jeapardy as well, because of it? those laws suck golem ballz and they're just another tool for them to harass people.
