Sakura is good, I went there for lunch last Friday and paid like $30 for 2 people and Saki, so I dont know what is meant by 70 per person......maybe he meant 70 pesos or 70 yen

Also, I dont think peeps wit Zs typically drop $300 on a meal for 1 person. If I remember correctly Blue Fish was like $100 for 4 people with booze. Thats not bad at all.
Again, you be eatin california rolls. Thats why its so cheap.

**SAKURA**
Uni - ~9.00
Toro - ~9.00
Blue Fin - ~9.00
-just with those 3, you are already at 27.00.

But i agree, droppin 100-300 for sushi is kinda ridiculous.

dude, insane, we aren't talking about california rolls.
like ryan said, last time we went to bluefish 4 people's bill came out to be ~100 [a little more with tip] and that includes beer+sake. and bluefish's quality is GOOD, way better than kabuki/etc.
you just have to find the right place, that's all

Everytime me and my old roommate went out, we would drop about 200 total. That would fill me up plenty. A table of four could easily be $300 at a good sushi restaurant. Although Ive ate at a small family owned sushi place a few times and spend a lot less and get amazing sushi.

yes that is the price range at It Zushi. I believe they still have $1 sake also.

Their albacore nigiri is pretty unique, and it blows the pants off of any other fish I've ever had for the money. It's not the seared albacore that you're thinking about, it's some different cut that's absolutely amazing.

hey i think its important for me to mention that the sushi at sakura are HUGE, so its worth it. furthermore, expect a long wait, probably 30 to 40 minutes at least... which is a good thing at a sushi place <-- means the fish has gotta be fresh.

i would be down to go cept ive been really busy with work, and this weekend is mothers day.

Sakura, was Spicy Tuna Hand roll, Sakura Roll, Dancing Tuna, a Small Saki and whatever my co worker drank, dont remember. Total was like $30+ tip and the Sakura Roll and D8ancing Tuna are like $10ea. Myself, I usually only get one or 2 rolls and like 3 bottles of Saki and my wife gets terriyaki and its like $50 with tip at Sakura or Blue Fish and both places have great food and the environment at Blue Fish is great all around. Sakura is in a plaza next to seafood City so that kinda takes from the atmosphere but otherwise its good.

My friend at work keeps raving about NOSHI, any th0oughts or opinions on that place for a future meet? He says it looks like a whole in the wall but the food is amazing, the prices are cheap and he saw Jen Anniston and Vince Vaughn eating there twice. Though I saw David Spade at McDonalds on SantaMonica near Beverly Glen once, that doesnt necessarily make McDonalds good

Yeah, if you come before 6PM it's 1 hour free in the local parking lot. If you come after 6PM it's only $2-3 flat rate.

Parking lot on Broxton just south of Weyburn.
