Default So Cal Insect WTF was that in my garage

Ok I don't have any pics since the little bastard got away. I have never seen anything like this ever and maybe someone can help me identify this thing. It was a tad smaller than a potatoe bug but it resembled a spider. The creature has a brownish color with the abdomen that resembles a wasp in color ( Brown and Yellow ). I managed to spray lysol on it since that is all I could grab and when I did it's tendencies resembled a spider in a attack mode lifting it's front body and legs almost ready to attack. I would say it was the size of a AA battery but managed to escape. It was def not a potatoe bug but the color of this creature sure did resemble it. Anyone know what kind of insect this might have been. I did not have time to get a picture since it ran under a stove we have stored. I tried to find it but had no luck..........What the F@ck was this thing ANYONE........

No it's body was more fat like a potatoe bug I did not get a chance to count it's legs to see if it was in fact a spider. I'm 100% sure it was not a potatoe bug but it was no spider either but I may be wrong on the spider part.

It appears that your high school education level is not good enough to indentify a freaken bug.
