After installing iridium plugs, Crawford headers, MREV2, APS plenum, and AAM HFCs to what I already had when I started this thread (K&N panel filter, JIC Y-pipe and Amuse R1000 titan), overall mileage went from mid 23 to almost 30. Intermittently mileage does vary, sometimes as low as 25, but I think it has something to do with my right foot.
In summation, the biggest 'positive' impact on fuel mileage is as shown below, in order.
1. Conservative driving and higher tire pressure,
2. Acetone mixed with the fuel, ~3oz/10gal gas,
3. HFCs, MREV2, APS plenum
4. K&N panel filter, iridium plugs and synthetic fluids (started off with Mobil1, but RP actually improved over that),
5. JIC Y-pipe, Amuse exhaust
6. Crawford headers
Some of the ratings were close, and the effects may be reversed if I retune for performance. Also, I feel the motor is still breaking in (~4600mi now). I understand some of the results, but not all of it, and I have done a lot of reading HERE.

Alright... I'm on the fence with this, but my 3 07 Frontier parts trucks cost me about $50.00 per day in gas. I'll pick one out and record the mileage/mpg for a week, then try the 3oz per 10 gal thing and see what happens!
Testing starts tomorrow! Jeff

Well lets see what the long term effects are first. We are gathering our real world data this week and next Tuesday the "test" begins. I'll most likely start a new thread and link this to it.

im familliar with most fuel types ive worked refuelling a/c and testing for contamination and such.
you dont need to be a genious to know that certain fuel mixtures burn plastics and rubber acetone being one of em.
mixed with fuel it will increase your mpg by a few miles...yes
will it burn your seals and rubber/plastics parts...not if your not overdoing it..and not if the acetone part settles.. ( sorry i dont know which is heavier ) but if you used it all up within a few days i woulndt worry about damage
-i guess you can think of acetone as putting in some octane booster/or cleaner in your tank...which is not harmfull if done right ( remember thoughmanuals for the z advices us not to use any additives.
