I want to go go kart racing now. Where should I go?
I'm searching online and I can only find places near orange county and I don't want to drive over an hour.
Is there anywhere halfway close to Glendale that has go karts to race?

depends on what kind of go-kart racing you want. I started out with 'slick-kart' racing in Carson. It's pretty cool because their original track is an oval where all the racing is done by drifting! I started drifitng at such a young age yet I wasn't aware about it. I was one of the top racers on that track. They have now expanded and included more road course-like tracks as well.
I have been to K1 in Irvine and that is all about grip racing Formula 1-style and it is a ton of fun and VERY intense. The cars all have transponders on them so you and your run group can compare times. In addition, the karts are electrically powered so they have a tremendous amount of torque that literally pushes you back in your seat once you exit the pits and pass the laser trip line which allows for 100% throttle.
K1 is expensive but it is worth it (barely though, they could be cheaper)

I've been to K1 in Irvine numerous times since they have a buy 2 get 1 free deal on Mon & Tues. They run electric karts and two tracks to choose from.
I've never run at Dromo 1 in Orange who runs gas karts but I've watched a few races and they look just as good as K1. I guess it comes down to your preference and wallet!
