Info on the back of the ticket tells you how to contest the ticket or go to your local PD and ask them. You should receive a letter in the mail as well unless the address on your ticket is not current. If it is a fix it ticket, DONT fix it! show it to a cop and ask him to sign it off. Tell him that this is a factory exhaust from NIssan. I dont know why he cited me for it???

An incomplete ticket is still valid. You have the carbon copy and they could always check the boxes on the original before they turn it in. Dont worry too much about it. Just go to the station and tell them to sign it off (try this first)or go to court and explain. Is not like you're gonna get a point on your driving record.

so even if its not complete on my end of the ticket, i should still go into the glendale pd station and who should i talk to about it? and they would try and sign it off?

^+1 i heard its invalid if theres any wrong information on the citation or if its incomplete. just heard from somewhere, not sure if it is true. and i think you should take off test pipes when u go to contest it, because i know you'll fail emission/smog test with test pipes.

when the ticket goes downtown(or wherever), the person will enter it in the system as long as it is not missing something like the violation section, location of occurance, license plate number, etc. If you do go to traffic court and present it to a judge, then yes the judge will probably throw it out(may not). Something like a box is easy to fix because you can correct it on the original and say that it never transferred onto the yellow copy. Your word against his. Still, the person would have to know that the section is invalid and also present his findings with proof in front of a judge. You can show that to a cop and nothing will get done. he'll just laugh

The no front plate citation is the same thing..pay $10. + fixing it or pay $100.00 (90-100.00 not too sure) fine then you dont have to fix it.

They'll say "pay it"..The thing is that most cops have no idea what people have to go through when they get tickets like that..eg, tinted windows, your exhaust BS and such. It takes time, money and effort to correct it. They write you a ticket and their end of the work is done. Now for you the drama begins. Not every cop is an a$$, but a lot of them are (and they know it!). I dont really have the best advise for you because I dont know how it works on the receiving end of the ticket nor have i gotton one in the past and speaking from experience. And also in San Francisco Ca, we do things differently and the admin fees, laws and regulations are constantly changing. I hope things will work out for you.

You should be able to fight the ticket regardless of what it is marked.

I had a ticket for 'gross pollution device' and no front plate a few months back BOTH marked uncorrectable. Regardless, I corrected the infractions got them signed off and the judge reviewed it and let me go with $10 court fee. If I didnt correct them it was about $320 gross polluter and $110 no plate.

From what Ive heard, sometimes the Sheriff will not sign it off unless you get permission from the judge first.

Seriously - Stop tripping out. Its an easy fix. Swap back to your OEM exhaust, put on your front plate and take it to a Sheriff. Good luck!

My ticket had wrong middle name, zip code and I think the plates were not legible. I asked the cashier and nope - still had to go through with it. lol

just put your oem cats back on and your front plates, bring it to the PD and tell them its stock and you fixed the license plate.

i doubt you will have any trouble after that. tell them the nismo came from the dealer and it was installed when you bought the car.
