May 2003 @ Long Beach Nissan. It was so much harder back then to get the trim (Performance) that you want in the color that you want. Every dealership in SD seemed to have only the Enthusiast trim or the Base trim.

I wish I had known about West Covina at the time.
Universal didn't have the car I wanted.
GG nissan here too. Which sales rep did you buy from? I had Kevin (tall white guy). Went straight to business with a little haggling here and there. Gave us a great deal right as I was about to walk out. Walked out with an 07 touring the same night.

Before that, I was at douglas nissan on beach blvd. My worst experience yet and a complete waste of fukcing time.

I got my 05 Zr from Universal City for $25k, $28 otd with finance int included -I thought it was fine.

There were a ton of people sitting in there waiting and eating Nissan Popcorn, but my SO and I were attended to super quickly - maybe we looked like we were actually going to buy something, i dunno. Maybe we just looked hardcore. We had no problems and got a few hundred off for mentioning the internet ad, I found the salespeople to be relatively charming and really moved their butts for us. Got offered a mgr. discount for any nismo parts I wanted too, which I will definately be asking about soon.

I heard great things about West Covina too - we were actually on our way there when I stopped by universal..sorry west covina guys you were super nice and helpful on the phone! I hope a lot of people buy from you because you seem nice

I was treated super curtly at Santa Barbara nissan- their sales people were completely not helpful. Couldn't have been less helpful, really. Hopefully their service department is nice cuz that is where I am from.

Team Nissan off the 101 didn't have what I wanted and didn't even want me to come in, which I don't know if that is good or bad (you know how most dealers try to sell you something you don't want) and I have heard their sales and service depts are expensive, but I don't know if that is true. Wouldnt services be kinda the same across all dealerships?

One place I really would not waste my time at is Simi Valley: O-M-G. I talked to this guy who didn't speak english, (not that there is anything wrong with that)- but I swear they make him answer all calls and use him as the scapegoat, like that he doesn't know what he's talking about- He told me he had an 07 roadster with MT for $29k. + fees of course...way too good to be true, but I called him 3 times to confirm this, and its *only* 70 miles away so I decided to go, as I was stopping at other places too.

I Get there, they have a test-drive roadster for a higher price plus 3 others....all Automatics, which I didn't want. I told them what the non-english-speaking guy told me and they said "oh ho ho, you know [insert name here], he doesn't speak english that well and doesnt know what he's talking about. oh, I'll have to have a talk with him later"...So anyways-Not one MT roadster...they offered to find one, which they didn't in like the 7 hours I spent there eating fricken nissan popcorn. the guys we dealt with were nice enough, but they totally wasted my time.

Then there was the financing fiasco. They offered me $2500 less for my crappy accord trade in than Universal, and even though I had a big downpayment, they put me down for some high amount of financing for a car they couldn't even find, which ended up making me have to pay $52,000 OVER my trade in...WTF, I mean really, do people actually sign these documents without pulling out the old cell phone calculator? Insanity. I still feel like a dumbazz for letting them waste one second of my time. And I still feel sick from eating so much popcorn.

I knew about west covina but i live in SM so i tried that shop. I can honestly say, STAY AWAY!! Horrible service! The front counter girl is cute but the guy had no idea what he was talking about and tried to doop me at the end before i signed the papers. I asked for my keys (trade in) back and i got outta there. Not only that, when he brought my potential Z around from across the street he was SMOKING in it! Im glad this happened, i will be taking my business to west covina. Good guys there!
