dmv help
anyone have expertise in the dmv? i sold my evo to a dealership last month and they told me they would take care of all the paper work.. well i called the dmv to make sure that they sent the release of liability in and the dmv said they didn't receive anything, should i just forget about it?
go follow up with that dealership. Was it a reputible one? Or a mom and pop dealer?
You need to take care of it otherwise you'll be liable for anything that vehicle is involved in. I know from experiance.

they are a very well known dealership.. i called in today, they lady that handles all the dmv stuff said she sent it in but the dmv lags sometimes up to 60 days.. she told me to do it online and not to worry because most likely the car will be sold soon
always, always, fill out a release of liability form once you get rid of a car, even if the other party tells you they'll do it. you just need your own basic info and the other party's info, and you can do it online--jlimquest linked you to it. DO IT! it takes 5 minutes.
