Default dmv help

anyone have expertise in the dmv? i sold my evo to a dealership last month and they told me they would take care of all the paper work.. well i called the dmv to make sure that they sent the release of liability in and the dmv said they didn't receive anything, should i just forget about it?

go follow up with that dealership. Was it a reputible one? Or a mom and pop dealer?

You need to take care of it otherwise you'll be liable for anything that vehicle is involved in. I know from experiance.

always, always, fill out a release of liability form once you get rid of a car, even if the other party tells you they'll do it. you just need your own basic info and the other party's info, and you can do it online--jlimquest linked you to it. DO IT! it takes 5 minutes.

when i sold my z3 for the evo and then the evo for the Z, i made sure the dealership gave me a copy of the release of liability forms.

+1 about the dmv, they lag & every time i'm there, my blood pressure spikes
