Default 5 more miles...

and my odometer clicks over to 1,200 and my break-in period ends. Only problem is that I know I'll be sitting in traffic when it happens.

Looks like I'll have to go on a drive tonight. Anyone care to join me? Anyone have a radar detector I can borrow?

Don't know yet. I'm open to suggestions.

When I'm bored and want to take the car out I usually just drive a strech of Mulholland, but you can't push it too much up there, too many people live up there that can call the cops.

I guy I work with has been telling me to hit up Angeles Crest Highway and describes it as a freshly paved race track, but I don't know what kind of presence the fuzz has up there.

I am up for drive. Angeles Crest can be bad if you don't know it. But if you like I can call some friends that know the area.

angeles crest is my hood.... generally on weekdays there isn't entirely too much po activity, you just gotta keep your eyes open and high beams on. the main road is beautifully paved, yes, and the lanes are wide and comfortable [unlike, say, yerba buena in the malibu hills]
let me know if you end up coming this way to hit the crest... i'm sure we can muster up a couple other people

are you guys serious? i always thought the crest was kind of mild... i mean if you don't know the roads, don't push your driving abilities and your car to the limit, you know? even the most seasoned drivers still are CAREFUL, overall.

I should really save Angeles Crest for when I get my 19"s and sways put on, but I have to have a little fun with my car tonight. Are there any safe spots anymore that I can just drive fast on and not get busted? There are a bunch of backroads off of Pearblossom Hwy that are usually deserted, but that might be a bit of a drive for tonight.

It does sound like there is some interest in an Angeles Crest run, so maybe this will be a go.

Wait until the Fujita intakes come out for it. They claim 10hp, but only a dyno will prove that, it is going to be nice an shiny though.
