i know of some back ways up the mountains... take the osborne street exit off the 210 and just head up little tujunga canyon road.... VERY, VERY fun, less technical than yerba buena but way more so than angeles crest.

it seems i might be stuck at work tonight, though. PM me if you want directions or have questions.

Okay, if there is some real interest in a run through Angeles Crest around 9pm and someone is willing to take the lead, then I say we go. Otherwise I'll figure out something local to Studio City/Burbank.

Oh, something will go down.
It all depends on when I get out of this stupid HOA meeting I have to go to just to make sure they aren't going to increase our dues or something like that. I could and will hopefully be done by 8. Would you be up to cruise down to the LAX meet if we decided to do that? We could meet at my place and all cruise down.

Cool. Lets just plan on going to the LAX meet then. I'll PM you and IbarraZ33 my address. Lets plan to meet at 8:30 and then we'll cruise down. PM cell numbers in case my meeting looks like its going late (highly doubtfull) and I'll all text everyone from the meeting if the plan changes.
OOh, I'll be able to show off the paintjob my mustang just got too.

Angeles Crest can be dangerous as there is normally some type of accident there every weekend. At the same time, one can have their thrills and fun on this road while keeping things relatively safe. If there wasn't an element of danger though, it wouldn't be as fun.
I think the thing with the Crest is the long winding roads somewhat encourage people to keep their speeds up to have any type of enjoyment. I prefer more technical roads which might be slower, but are still fun.
