Default Cheap Exhaust

hey guys, i just wanna know, what's the best and cheapest way to modify our exhaust? i was thinking of taking my car to a muffler shop and have them remove the resonator and replace it with a straight pipe. has anyone done this before? i had an RS*R cat back before which i removed before coming to San Diego. i asked my brother if he cud send it to me from Texas but, he said he ain't got no time to ship it to me. don't wanna spend money on a brand new exhaust because i paid $900.00 for the RS*R. I need your advice, folks!

Just buy test pipes. It'll cost you less than $300.
No need to do custom sh*t just to get rid of your cats.

Test pipes will run you around $100 but you will most likely get some rasp.

However I have seen people unbolt the 2 bolts where the midpipe connects to the muffler section and put washers on the bolts. Gives you a little gap just before the muffler and when it is under your car like that it makes it pretty loud sounding! EASY AND CHEAP! You probably have washers laying around the house and just need a socket to loosen the bolts.

well, i have an RS*R exhaust back home it's just that, my brother doesn't have time to ship it. i know RS*R, INVIDIA N1, AND TOPSPEED are about the same on exhaust note. i guess, i'll go for a test pipe for now.

You have a perfectly good RS*R, but your own brother can't send it to you because he's too busy?? I would find some way to get that exhaust over here instead of the other options...

that'swhy i took it off before i got to SD. but, i missed it so much, lol. the first 30 min. i had it, i wanted to go back to the shop and re-install my stock exhaust but, i got used to it. i'm only gonna be in SD for 2 years and retiring from the navy and definetely going back to Texas. u can have the loudest exhaust there(TX) and won't get pulled over instead, u get a thumbs up from the police
