Depends on the configuration, but it is a twisty tight run, very technical, good for lower hp and higher handling cars. Not a place for a Viper!! It is a lot of fun. For Miata, Lotus, S2k, very much fun. The only caveat is desert tortoises. Protected species and they shut the track down if one of them wanders near. (as they should, but they are actually pretty quick moving and you need to pay attention!)

I think Reno-Fernley is more fun, but to get there you need a passport and two copilots for the tow vehicle. It is about three hundred miles beyond where John the Baptist lost his sandals in the desert.

Usually they run the 3.5 config, and its suited for anything. Tight and technical in some places, with a couple places for high hp cars to open up. I would say its a lot like buttonwillow. Come out and play, i believe we have at least 4 vegas Z's heading out.

As long as I can get my seat situation worked out, then I should be there.

I like Spring Mountain Pahrump on the 3.5 mile config. It is a fun configuration with some very radical lateral transfers. Unfortunately I have conflicts in schedule this time. Running Time Attack at Laguna Seca on Nov 9-11, off to Japan 12-17th, Jury duty 19th +, Thanksgiving weekend is a "no no" for tracking, and Cal Speedway December 1&2, then business commitments the next weekend. Got two weekends between now and the end of the year to run is it. Would love to get your write up impressions of driving Spring Mountain, and some vid up on the boards from a couple of your laps if you can manage it.

Not looking too optomistic for me making Spring Mtn. Got my car back, and the body shop failed to do some of the work required on the front (work I paid out of pocket for back in August). So the car will be going back up to LA in a few weeks to get my issues resolved - not happy.
