Grip vs. Drift
my top cars id love to road race
~ EVO MR
~ Lotus Elise
~ Miata
~ 350 Z
~ K20-civic
my top cars id love to drift
~ 240 sx
~ 350z
~ the SC or soarer fascinates me but i believe it weighs as much as an elephant
i love road racing or grip racing since i used to be a dumb *** and go to the mountains with my civic Si like 5-6 years ago although i graduated and started tracking the Z... if my budget allowed me to go id go every month, cant wait for the new wheels to come in
i have been always fascinated by drifting, i do though meet people who claim to drift 2003 corolla S's, automatic IS300s and accords but i really ought to check out an event or go...... just need a diff since i have a base
what do you guys like or do?

The SC, which i'm suprised you mentioned, caught my eye when I saw a few at drift events. The only thing that drew me to it was the JZ motor (non-turbo ftl) and the looks. It looked alright to me in the 90's but now its just ugly to me. Plus you'll never be able to find one of those in stick(400's didnt come in manual, ftl again).
Heres a pic of my fav drift SC.

i would love to grip a ariel atom. that would be awesome. being able to see the tire hit the apex every corner. plus that open cockpit...oooohhhh. as far as drift goes, the s13/s14 coupe and my Z. i have the nismo lsd now so its so controlled in a slide. makes it easy to bring that bir *** around. i love that sc, its got cf doors to lighten the body up now. i read all the stuff he did to that car, a bunch of 1 off custom work

^LOL
for corners i like light cars with enough power (not too much)- something like the elise or exige would be fine.... but for the straightaway, i like big horsepower, wide wheels, big turbos~ lol

Plus the ls1 only weighs like 200lb. over a na 13b. If you add turbos, intercooler, piping, etc, I'm sure the difference would be very small. Plus who can say no to a 300+ hp 300+ ft/lb na motor.
Even though its a pushrod .
