Palomar Run This Sunday!!!!????
It looks like we have a good group coming down to Palomar this Sunday. I'm going no matter what, but there is no word from you guys down in San Diego.
Are you still coming? How about you Alang?
Let us hope for another awesome run, if we go early.
Manny.

I'm up to go. And if anyone is interested I'm going to see about staying in SD either Sat night and/ or sun night. Haven't decided yet leaning towards both right now. But if anyone wants to crash they are perfectly welcome too. I'm hoping to stay at the Embassay suits in La Jolla not far from Nwinds place.
Yes, us San Diegans will be there! Looks like a great group coming down from North. Welcome to our area of the woods!
See you at Alang's place (see link in previous post for directions).
Brian.

I actually think that I won't be able to make the Palomar run this Sunday. I have way too much on my plate this weekend mainly cause I'll be in the Bay area for the next month or so. But I should be able to go to Alangs place later in the month
Well here is first account of the run this morning. First off I was very dissapointed in the San Diego members. Only one other person showed. There were 4 people that drove all the way from LA. We should have had more representation from the locals.
Anyway, I had to leave the run early. On the drive up to Dudly's, I managed to hit a rock and screw up my rear passenger side rim.
.
This one's going to hurt my wallet. Anyone know a good rim repair shop in San Diego?

OUCH!!! Sorry about the rim Alang. I bent one of my track rims too, but not that bad. I can still drive on it and it is not noticeable at all. I tried to get it repaired but the repair guy said that I would be better off leaving it because repairing a forged rim can be tricky(he said they crack easy when being repaired). Yours on the other hand is one of those I would definitely try to get repaired. If it helps, I went to Mossy Oceanside and they had a guy come out and look at my rim. Also, a track rim from the dealer is $1340 for ONE!!! You can buy a whole new set for that price on this board or on ebay. Or just go aftermarket, what I'm doing.
As for the palomar run. Sorry for not showing up. Saturday was draining with Stillen, Fontana, dinner in LB, and getting back to SD late last night. I actually woke up in time to go, but it was pretty wet outside and sprinkling. I didn't think it was such a hot idea to do a run in wet conditions especially if Zeeing was leading.

Ended up being a great drive. Once we got up in the mountains, we left all the clouds and drizzle behind. Solid sun and very warm. I think I got a sunburn on the top of my forehead (thanks to my sunroof). I believe we had 3 Silver/Chrome (can't remember how many of which), Red, 2 Bricks and a WRX (I think that's what it was?) that joined us when Alang had to head home with the bent rim. Went through the Mesa Grande run three times (once to and from Palomar) then on our ride home via 76. Definitely ranks as one of our top runs so far with some long fast sections of twisties!
Whoever took the photo of me with my head popping out of my sunroof...please post!
Thanks all for a safe and fun drive!
