Default What body/paint shop do you recommend in the San Fernando Valley?

I will be looking for a body/paint shop here in the San Fernando Valley, can you recommend someone? How do you know them?

My car is Daytona Blue, and we all know how much fun it is to match that paint, so if someone has any experience with that, it would be that much more appreciated.

I'm in the process of looking for a new Front Bumper, and possibly a whole it as well, and I want it to be urethane as I don't want to deal with the whole fibeglass issues.

I'm trying to find a FB which a large/wide opening in the front for the Inter Cooler and with the least amount of any other holes/openings/gimmicks/attachments. I'm a big fan of subtle.

So if you have any recommendations for the shop or FB/Kit lemme know!

Thanks

I would highly recommend Colonial Coach Work in Granada Hills.

17554 Chatsworth St
Granada Hills, CA 91344

I've had my car sprayed there a few times, and their quality of workmanship is amazing.
I've had my Nismo V2 sprayed there and the paint matched perfect.
In addition, their paint and clearcoat holds up so strong that in 6 months that I've had the bumper I didn't get a SINGLE rock chip.

There are a few cons though:

They're pretty pricy(but you get what you pay for)
They're always busy, so you'll have to wait a few weeks..but you can always call them to find out.
They hesitate to work with aftermarket parts(my V2 was already prefitted)

Thanks for this info, I think I have actually heard of them through others as well a long time ago when I was looking for a shop, which is a good thing.

You're right (and who isn't) when you say you get what you pay for.

The shop that did my last work, did a great job, and it was done under 'friends type terms' which ended up biting me in the *** (as usual) and there were a bunch of "little problems" which ended up being a bigger problem in the end than it was worth.

That was the first time, and last time I did something like that with my Z.

thanks again,

Joe

No problem. I've also replied to your thread in exterior section regarding front bumpers.

I am not that far from LA at all, it's just a PIA to get there and back...

What is the name of his shop?

I'd be interested in someone with talent, at a fair price!

Thanks!
