What's going on with WCN service department??
So, today was the day I decided to go into WCN for an oil change and normal maintenance check up.. I call in WCN beforehand, around 12:00 to schedule an appointment for an oil change and a check up. A receptionist picks up the phone call. She asks, “Where may I direct your call to?” Before even finishing my sentence to the receptionist, "I'd like to speak to someone from the service dep…..." She automatically transfers my line. I thought this was extremely rude, I’ve NEVER EVER been cut off short during a talk at WCN, customer service was always great over there….
After being put through to someone on the service department, the person on the line said, "Appointments aren't necessary for oil change, you should be in and out of here in about an hour." That’s fairly reasonable.. Because the last few times I was at WCN, I've waited 2+ hours for an oil change and 4+ hours for a exhaust swap (Which they said would take no more than 3 hours).. Seems like whichever time they give you, add 1-2 more hours on top.
I live an hour away from WCN, so driving there isn't always a "joy". I arrive to WCN around 1:00, step out of my car and wait for a service writer to approach me. I was 2nd in line, 5 other people were behind me.... Is it because I'm 19 years old?? Does WCN have senior priority?? Or do they service people out of order?? Because I waited patiently in line for someone to approach me, I was the last one to be approached.. Next time should I approach the service writers instead of waiting for them to approach me??
Oh wait, nevermind.. There won't be a next time.. Why? As soon as the service writer approached me, I told him I needed an oil change and regular check up. He said i'd have to wait around 4 hours.......... 4 hours........ 4 hours..... that means by the time I'm done servicing my car, it would be past dinner time, the sun would be down and my day would have gone to waste.
This is unacceptable for such a high-reputable dealership.. If I had to wait 4 hours for a damn oil change, they should’ve told me that on the phone. I once had no problem wasting 2 hours to drive to WCN and back for great service.. I once had respected WCN, but it seems like it's starting to go downhill.. The WCN service department will no longer get the business of myself or my friends anymore.

similar thing happened to me, yesterday but not as bad. No service person approached me at all, they didn't even acknowledge my presence. So i went up to one of them, they said it would take 2 hours to re-register my TPS since I got new rims. I thought it would take 5 min but i didn't say anything. So while i was bored waiting I asked why things seemed to have changed in the service department and they said the manager was fired. In the end all dealerships suck, its just a matter of finding one that sucks the least. Oh well West Covina is 5min from my house so i go there instead of Performance.

Paul, I love the RR Sports, but they get horrible gas milage. The Murano look too much like a soccer mom vehicle. The Xterra's are nice, but for quality, performance, and gas milage I'd say the X3. But man I do love the Range.
I've been real happy with the service at Performance. Tim has been an excellent service adviser although I do call a few days ahead to let them know that I'm coming.

sup paul. sorry about the whole deal u went through. jeff, jen, justin and i dont usually work weekends.
about the service write up. im really not sure why they didnt approach u, but i came to think that most of the 350z community (even myself before i even worked here) always had our "favorite" service write up. the other write ups usually never approach the Z's i think because all the Z's go to Heri. HONEST! so its like one of those things that we kind of assume like "oh. its a 350z Z. he must be here for Heri."
but its never good to assume something like that. someone should of came up to u anyways to ask what u wanted to do with ur car.
i really dont know what else to say. sorry just doesnt cut it so if u need anything, u know how to reach me

Hey Quan, thanks for the reply. I've never ever had a problem with you, Jeff, or anyone else in the parts department. My main problem is against the service department, I have nothing but love for the parts department @ WCN.
Don't get me wrong, the service department was awesome when WCN first opened up.. But I guess w/ people getting fired and w/ people leaving, WCN changed .

I had a very similar experience with multiple screw ups in the same visit, unbelievably long delays, etc.. I'll probably just drive the extra 20 minutes to performance from now on.
