Geography questions..GEO MAJORS ~
anyone here good at geography? got few questions...
1.A consequence of the current elliptical character of the earths orbit round the sun is that the northern winters are cooler than the southern winters. (T/F)??
2. The sun is at one of the foci of the earths orbital path round the sun. (T/F)??
3.The globe is the only map that accurately portrays all spatial relationships
characteristic of the earths surface.(T/F)??
4.The polar speed of the earth of the earth rotation is higher than the equatorial speed. (T/F)??
5.Geography is a discipline defined by a specific body of content and subject matter rather than by an approach. (T/F)
6. Systems methodology is not applicable to physical geography. (T/F)??
7. The earth is an example of an open system in terms of materials and a closed system in terms of energy.(T/F)
8. If you were standing at 60degree north latitude you would b within which latitudinal geographical zone??
a.subantartic b.midlatitude c.antartic d. subarctic
if anyone is a geo major and can answer these questions and few more with confidence please let me know. I will reward you for your work.

I can answer a few of these as I had Space Flight class on the way to my Aerospace Engineering degree:
1. F - the Earth's orbit is circular not elliptical
2. F - Foci are on elliptical orbits
3. I'd say F but I'm not sure
4. F - the highest rotation speed is at the equator - hence why they launch most spacecraft as close as they can to it
5. Not sure
6. Not sure
7. Not sure
8. I'd think it is midlatitude as the others don't seem to fit but I'm not sure
Hope that helps some
