There's this SD drive on March 30th. It's more than likely that they'll be passing through Julian.

The March 30th drive should be good. I agree about the April 20th meet as it seems like random groups of people doing their own drives and meeting at the end.

I'd suggest March 30th, but I don't believe the thread starter wants to large of a group, so a new date and drive would probably be best. Though if the March 30th run has a large turnout, you probably won't have a lot of LA/OC Zs show up for this pie run.

To have an epic drive, you need everyone to meet at the same place at the same time. (like say, 11:00am at mom pies) Since they will all be coming from different areas, it has always made it easier to let everyone create their own little groups to get there . . . . . then go for a cruise as a huge group

Now, you could have done the smart thing and notified all the other clubs, then taken control of the caravan coming from san diego. But if you want to crap on the 4/20 idea and break up the group between 2 different runs on 2 different weekends. . . . okay

I say just merge with the drive on the 30th. Equinox always organizes decent cruises and the routes are good (I've already seen the route planned for the 30th). It works well with either few or many cars; there are alwys the fast runners up front and a group of more casual cruisers in the rear. Helps to keep everyone organized and together if we all bring 2-way radios. If it gets really huge, we can always break off into groups that leave in 5-10 min intervals to keep it tight, fast and fun on the roads.

Rally point is at the gas station near Fallbrook and the 15. SD peeps ussually meet up at Starbucks over by Home Depot and cruise up to the rally point from there.

I love Julian. Make sure to stop at the Julian Pie Company store in Santa Ysabel on the way in to town and get the cinnamon pie crust hearts....(I also prefer Julian Pie Company apple pie in town over Mom's in town.)

Yeah, the past couple of cruises, we've gone to Mom's. Time to mix it up, I think and kit Julian Pie Company this time; I've never sampled their stuff. Mmmm.... PIE!!!

Well, it's about a 40 min drive to the Falbrook rally point from there and cruise kick-off is at 8:30, so lets say 7am grouping at Starbucks and a roll-out of 7:20 or so. That should give us time to stretch our legs, gas up and relieve our bladders once we get up there
