Default Z Service center besides WCN and Performance?

I'm looking for something alittle more closer to me! But knows what they are doing and ain't going to rape with without any lube. Any other shops here that can do it? Anything near LAX or something?

Problems I'm having..

1.) When the car is warm and you shut it off and say go in a store then come back and start it. It dies unless you press the gas for a second or put it in gear.

2.) Gas is burning really rich. Kinda smells like a 60's muscle car.

#1 - sounds like carbon buildup on your throttle body. I have the same issue. If you search, look for "warm startup" and/or "rough idle". Start here:
https://my350z.com/forum/maintenance-and-repair/315645-rough-idle-car-dies-when-warm.html

#2 - stock exhaust? Does it smell rich all the time or just when you get on it? Take any bumps hard recently? Maybe knock a pipe loose?

I only know places in OC, not near LAX. You looking for a dealer or just a good mechanic?

#1 dunno i'm not really a car engine guy.

#2 all the damn time way stronger on its first start up of the day (no bumps I drive her smooth)

#3 dealer or shop doesn't matter as long as they know what they are doing and don't rape me for $$

^^^Sometimes you need to go a little out of your way to find a real good shop.

+1 on precision. I am a car guy and do most work myself since I don't trust a lot of shops and when there is something I don't have the time to do I take it to them. Ed and Peggy are great.

First, regarding weekends, one Saturday a month might be in our future. We're discussing it with the techs and would make it "by appointment" just to make sure people show up.

Second, regarding your car, if you're able to drop it off one night during the week or weekend, we can meet you at the shop. We would work on it the next day (Mon-Fri) and you could pick it up after hours. You'd just need someone to follow you out here, or we can arrange a rental car. Just a thought, not sure if that helps you out or not.

Peg that sounds fine. Can you do light installs also? I need some 06+ put in my 03 when they get here.
