Default HMMM, should I trade my Z for the G35C?

I've been thinking about it a lot. Don't know why, but I think it's mostly cuz I'm tired of the bumpy ride and I want a sunroof too. What should I do? Am I crazy for feeling this way? I even went to Infinty the other day and talked to a salesman. Any input on this?

Sacrelidge!!!!!!

All kidding aside I felt like you. I love sun+ sunroofs and at first i thought the G might look better. After being up close and personal though with a couple Gs I relize I was wrong.

So don't you dare!!!!!

Is it the bump or the bounce you don't like? I think some suspension parts can be added to reduce the bounce.

Sunroofs can always be done aftermarket.

Dunno, essentially it's the same car though so you still get my respect.

Steph... NO ****ING WAY!!!

It's like trading in your untamed stallion for a tamed donkey. Ok, not that bad (Bobbarker, don't hate me too now! haha)...

Well, look at it this way. For the amount of money you will LOSE just working with a dealership, you could probably get those little things that bug you fixed. Get some teins and an aftermarket sunroof. I saw a member here that did it. You'll probably have enough money left over to even get the lambo doors!

The G35C is cool sometimes, but then I look at it at certain from certain angels and hate it. Like other peeps said, aftermarket sunroofs are available. Remember, there is nothing hotter than a HOT girl driving a sports car. Just my opinion.

Absolutely right! You'll lose way too much money on the deal and you can probably get everything you want done to the Z for about 3-6K. I recall seeing a white Z in the gallery that had a custom sunroof. Anyone else see it?

Talking

Ladies with macho attitude will stick with the Z, otherwise they would go with the G. This is my 2 cents.

i have both steph and i can drive both anytime i want. I always find myself driving the z. Nothing beats the feeling of a sports car. Plus if i drove the 4seater coupe i would have to drive my friends everywhere while when i drive the z..they drive all the time.

Sorry to hear that ... but I understand why you would want to switch to a G.
Here's the link to spacemanspiffs custom sunroof just in case.

Default Trade in?

Butterfly.
You begged your parents to get you a "Z" didn't you? Told them the "Z" would be it?

To trade a new "Z" in is a great way to throw away about $13,000.

You spent about $3000 in tax and lic. alone, and if you paid MSRP, trade-in value at best is about $5000 below MSRP.

If you paid more than MSRP, add that on top the $8000.

So, depending on your tax bracket, you have to earn (gross) at least $12,000 to net $8000.

You are financing it too, yes? $8000 at 4.9% interest on a 60 month note, that will cost you an extra $1000.

These are REAL numbers and are not padded.

I see people shop around to try to save a dollar here and there, only to throw away a small fortune on automobile transactions!

Upgrading your present car is a MUCH cheaper way to go.

Sorry if the facts don't fit what you would like to hear......

My 2 cents on the subject. You could save $13,000.

Scott

P.S. Don't forget that it will cost extra to "upgrade" to tha G35 too.

wait for the Z convertible?

It's much rarer to see a girl driving a Z than a G (not that that matters, of course).

anyway, hopefully you won't decide so, but if you do, i understand....

you've ridden enough in bobbarker's to know what it feels like, right? just make sure you fully investigate the G before taking the plunge.

I have a sun roof on my M3. I think I have opened it about 3 times in 4 years. Either I have the sun beating down on my face (can't have that, don't want to ruin this beautiful grill ) or I'm stuck in traffic and getting a car full of exhaust fumes Sun roofs are cool but the novelty wears of fast. I could see trading in the Z for a G35 if you needed a back seat, that makes sense. If you do, just promise me that you will change the logo to a "Skyline" logo, that's coolest thing about that car. Oh yeah one more thing:

Chick in a G35 - Pretty Hot

Chick in a Z - Very Hot

Chick in a Z drop top - OFF THE SCALE

Thanks y'al for the input. You're all right, why trade in the Z? I could get the roadster that would fix the sunroof thing.

hfm- If I could trade in the expo I would, but it's great for doing the things the Z can't handle, also I use it to go to Mexico a lot with the fam.

Professor- You're right, I did beg my parents, and I would feel very bad if they had to pay extra for my "mistake". Good thinking.

OK OK I'm convinced, I knew you guys would help me out!!!!

If you don't like the harsh ride...

Get the suspension out of someone's G35 Coupe. Or buy some Eibachs. I have an installer in South San Gabriel for you.

It's cheaper than getting a G35... Or you can have some more G35 coupe owner who is smitty by your beauty give you his stock suspension... and I can have my installer put those in for you.

.02 cents. And get some new bling bling rims... then you will have a 2 seat bling bling car.

Never thought of that, good idea. Now where's Bobbarker at...

How much does a new suspension cost anyway? Bling bling is not even an option right now, no $$$, unless someone wants to be my sugar daddy...j/k.
