Korean BBQ Etiquette
I thought I would ask all the K-town junkies here about BBQ. I often go to eat Korean BBQ at Soot Bull Jeep on 8th and Normandie and wanted to know if its OK to ask for a box to take home the leftovers. The wife and I never finish the food and always leave the yummy delicious food on the grill. I have never anyone take food home and didn't know if it is proper.
Is it OK to ask to take home the leftovers at a Korean joint?

screw the etiquette, you paid for the food, cook it and box it home. one of my pet peeves is wasting food. wasting food FTL.
whenever i eat out, and there is something left over, i always box it home even if i don't plan on eating it later so just in case i see a homeless person i can give them what i have. and i'm sure its not too difficult to find a homeless person in ktwon or LA

no u cant. ktown its an all u can eat buffet that u can only eat at the restaurant. its like the same as going to hometown or any vegas buffet and after finishing ure meal, asking for a togo box to put it in.
they will charge you if u want some to go. they actually charge u for leaving the meat on the grill as leftovers but i guess cuz they cant communicate with u they dont charge you lol.
but to answer ure question, no.

Soot Bull Jeep is not an all you can eat place. I didnt even know they had such a thing in K-town (note to self, hang out with Danny). I always buy two orders. One will be the Kabi (sp?) and either the chicken or shrimp. I just got back from eating BBQ and the bones could have served a good treat for my dog and late night snack for me.

Thanks guys. I will ask next time. I cant get enough of the bean paste, rice and meat in one bite. Sip a little Soju and chase it with Hite!
Its a must try. The marinade is like no other.
