UPDATE: I emailed Rueben directly and the confusion has been taken care of. He was also very prompt at returning my email. Thanks Rueben!

Although i feel i shouldnt have to talk to him directly for something like this but i guess we all make mistakes........... So i will give WCN the benefit of the dought.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------

i took my car to WCN this weekend. Had an appointment to have the clutch checked out. THe clutch master cylinder needs to be replaced which i believe should be covered under warranty. I have an 06 with 25,000 miles.

They are telling me i have to pay a $50.00 deductible to get it fixed?!?!?!? What the f is that all about. i have never heard of having to pay a deductible for warranty work. Especially something that should be covered under the original 36k warranty. I have the extended gold + warranty and thats the reasoning he gave me for having to pay it.......

I have to take -1 from Performance Nissan for taking 18 days to complete my service and making me pay 2 days on the rental truck.

Is there a "go to" guy at Performance Nissan I should be asking for?

yeah there is a guy I would recommend and his name is Tim. So far dealing with him, I have been 100% satisfied with his customer service.

how is he an idiot? He just rec'd a bad service from Performance and just deducted one point from them. Technically it reads now -1 and +1 for Performance.

I think it is a good idea that he is informing and giving us current reviews of these two shops.

Like recently, someone posted his horrible experience @ Gruppe-S. Reading that thread helped me make a note if I ever consider taking it there to get my car work on also I am waiting to hear a reply Gruppe-S to see what they have to say.

Another example is like Mr.Zipps. Started with fantastic reviews here and now look at him. Screwing DJ Smitty and we just learned that he screwed over a lot of people on several forums and ban. I never knew that.

What the heck is a findapix haha?

haha, yeah its good to inform us, but its funny how hes basically give +1 to performance and -1 to west co, yet he's complaining right now about performance...
i think it would be great to give a review after the job is done. not before.

ahha and findapix was like a myspace/facebook thing. it was pretty big back in the days. you rate people 1 through 10. hahahha

FWIW: Just because you are under warranty does not mean the failure is going to be covered under warranty.

Say your lights and all that came on, and its because your brake pads are low and need to be changed. They are not going to have a tech check that out for free and you say you do not want to do the repair there and leave. So they charge an hour labor for diagnostic...

IF the problem is linked to something covered under warranty, then they do not charge the hour labor and the problem is covered under warranty as well as the diagnostic.

IF the problem is NOT covered under warranty, that first hour labor that is charged to you is applied to your repair...

This is standard at ALL DEALERSHIPS and ALL AUTO PART SHOPS...

Now, some shops or service advisors will make an exception to this... And usually when they do, they do not have a CERTIFIED TECHNICIAN check out your car but they have a LUBE TECH diagnose the problem or do a basic check (like check brake pad level or hook up the dealer consult tool. (a lube tech is someone who is working on getting into the auto repair business, not certified to do any sort of warranty repair by NISSAN, paid hourly a low amount).

When you pay the hour labor, you usually get a certified technician checking out your vehicle.

And if it is a warranty repair, the hour labor is not charged to you and is covered by warranty all together...
