Default Anyone here ever APPEAL to a UC? Like..UCLA,UCI,UCSD?

Any successful/unsuccessful stories?
I got accepted to UCI and UCSD, but rejected from LA. Planning on appealing...any stories? Or any helpful information or tips? Anything?
Anything is appreciated, thanks.

Thanks for the quick responses. I'm not in highschool, i'm a transfer student from a CC. I applied to UCI,UCSD and UCLA only. I didn't apply to berkley cuz it'd be a waste of money since I knew i wouldn't get in. UCR and UCSB are also unattractive to me, and not "prestigious" enough. Hahaha. Yeah, I am going to appeal, ive been planning it out for a lil while now. But I really wana hear someones stories or tips from ppl. Thanks!

All I can say is G/L, I tried an appeal for CSLB for a late apply, but they told me because of the budget cuts they couldn't let me slide in. Even though I have the ability to pay my own tuition, and have the grades for pretty much any school in the nation. Though times man.
But G/L, and be ready to write some letters to some department heads, cause it would really help you out.

i had a great paying job lined up 5 months before i graduated from SB this past june, whereas other people that graduated with me (from different schools/majors) are STILL looking for work

You can appeal but chances are you're not gonna get in. They must have a reason to deny your application.

As for your major i think going anywhere else is fine. UCSD is actually very very good.

yeah thats another thing... i always thought that after 1-3 years at a JC, you can go pretty much anywhere you want.... is this not the case anymore?

some california junior colleges guarantee admission into at least 1 UC, not ALL UCs.

when i was applying for college like 10+ years ago. my best friend got rejected by Cal. He appealed, and then got accepted as a spring Bear. i.e. deferred enrollment for 1 semester.

its worth a shot. you might as well appeal, since you already got one rejection letter. getting another one won't matter if they say no again...

Most likely you won't succeed. I tried that myself. Nothing got resolved.

I actually got accepted to USC, CAL but UCLA rejected. I filed an appeal but nothing resolved. Weird thing is that my friend who had lower GPA than me and same SAT scored got accepted to UCLA but not CAL.

Hey, I ended up graduated from CAL which is a better school IMHO.

Untill now, i wonder if UCLA knew that I got accepted from CAL so they saved the spot for someone else?

i think that's a common conception, when i was a senior in high school and we were all anxiously awaiting our acceptance letters i remember everyone saying that if you get into cal, you wont get ucla, and vice versa since it's not fair to get into the two "top" UC's...
well, i did.
