Angry Cracked windshield

Woke up to a nice little surprise on my window. a nasty 1" crack I thought, "maybe just a bug" so I touched it. Now I have a 2" crack I freak about stuff like this, I can't stand to have something in my line of vision. I called and got a quote: $834 and $125 for labor.
I just replaced the windshield on my M3 less than 3 weeks ago!! I know the glass is soft now for safty reasons, but come on!! This one only lasted me less than 5k!
No real question here, just venting.

P.S. Had a great time on the AC run. I'll post pictures tonight. Also, everyone misse out on Jay Mohr at The Comedy Store after the run. Only like 40 people showed. Itoka and I sat right on the stage for 4 hours of laughs. Maybe we should organize an Comedy event or something?

That sucks about your crack. No, but really, it does.

Hey, sorry I didn't get to say a proper goodbye to you two and your ladies. Felt kind of bad about that.

Can't wait to see your pics - I saw Itoka taking some on the run, so hopefully there'll be some nice ones of Z's overlooking cliffs.

I got my windshield replaced on my other cars and went with a PPG windsheild. They are all OEM spec for a fraction of the cost.

hope this helps..

yeah that's what I did with the M3. The window looks great. The problem is, I can't find a replacement for the 350Z yet. I guess I will just have to wait till someone makes one. I hate to replace a windshield on a car that doesn't even have plates yet.

I've been driving about 100 miles a day to work for about the last year and a half. It seems my 350Z draws WAY more rocks in the first three months than my Maxima did the entire year before it. Fate is a cruel master.

I have two big chips and just developed a crack myself. Doesn't your insurance cover this? Just pay the deductable and the insurance pays for the rest of the windshield. I believe I have that coverage and was planning on using it soon.

yeah it's $500 bucks. Twice as much as my M3's windsheild.
