Default Hfc and the state ref?

I recently got a state ref ticket, and I am going to be running my stock exhaust, but does anyone think I can get away with my hfc's. I doubt it, but I'd just thought I ask. Please tell me your experiences with the state ref.

Since HFCs aren't legal, chances are they aren't gonna fly. The Refs know what to look for.

Thanks for your input fellas. Since you can barley see the driver sides cat, what if I just put the passenger side oem cat back on? arghhh! It's been soo hot, I cant see myself wrenching in this weather. I'm dreading putting them back in

dont quote me... but i think they might smog your car on-site as well.

thing is plenty of my buddies have gotten modified exhaust, headers... etc tickets and they were fix-its. sometimes they smog... sometimes they dont... is there a system probably but it seems almost random to me

I got a ticket for modified exhaust and it says non correctible. So I called and they said you just pay the fine, there is no inspection.
