Does anybody know where I can get my ecu reflashed? I got smoked by one of my friends stock sti's. It was not by much so I really looking for a reflash or program my ecu. Anybody know of anyone and prices?

+1 Also, was the STI modified? If he was running more boost then you need more than a reflash.

If you want power and cheap go with Nitrous, Flash will give you .5 whp. Dont waste your money on bolt-ons they do nothing (well may be few ponnies)for our Z. STI's with 1k in mods = bye bye to your Z.

If street racing, you might consider using the $$ for starting up your legal defense fund. As a consideration, you might consider telling your family and friends about your decision to street race so they can either distance themselves or prepare to be supportive.

Admittedly, I have gotten into a few races in the past but after considering the potential impact on others (fathers, mothers, children were what came to mind mostly) I decided to stop. I feel pretty good about sticking to that decision ever since.

If your racing is on the track, my apologies.

A rev-up should pull on a stock STI by third gear, but the extra weight of your roadster may change the results.

so i drove my friend's STI limited edition home from the casinos the other night. the car feels faster in every gear than my G coupe! i know the Z33 is a bit lighter than my G, but i still don't see a stock Z beating an equally driven stock STI. those things run quarters well into the 13's and our cars struggle to even touch 13s...in reality i think our cars can still "hang" with the level of the STI and EVO for a little bit under highway conditions, but those cars can walk us badly in a real drag race.

STIs do well in the 1/4 mile due to their launch and AWD. However once moving, a revup will begin to pull, especially at higher speeds.
