I'd like to learn about MMA and self defense. Does anyone know of a place to learn in or around the Van Nuys area? I know there are tons of places where you can take classes, but Im interested in the good ones. Thanks in advanced.
BTW, not looking for a specific style yet, just the basics.

I don't take MMA, but I do take GJJ in Torrance. You should come check out the academy. Rener and Ryron Gracie and the sons of Rorion Gracie and are the instructors teaching the classes. If you take it guaranteed you'll be hooked.

Thanks for the link. Wow GJJ looks interesting. That is exactly the style I'd like to learn. $195 a month will hurt my wallet though
Hell, even if I try it for 1 month, Im sure I'll learn alot.
Which class do you take and which days?

I take Gracie Combatives which is for beginner's and pay $165 a month. I go Mon 8:30pm, Tue 7:00pm, Wed 8:30, Thur 7:00pm, Sat 10:30am
They have "Bring a Friend" days on Wed & Sat's so you can actually try out the class for FREE. Or you can do a 10 day Trial...you dont like it, you wont be charged.
In one month you'll learn alot!
