OPEC hasn't agreed on cutting production yet and with the current world economy in the sh!tter, and apparent lack of demand for gas, it may not raise in price for a while.

now that the hedge funds and other wall st power players cant leverage their investments 50/1 and higher, it should stabilize more towards actual demand

I'd love to buy a great big tank and fill it like a squirrel storing up for winter.

Yeah it keeps dropping.

I find myself gunning it around town, but once I get pulled over it's game over.

Hopefully stays or goes lower until I pump gas again. I was pissed when I filled up my tank and then seen gas drop .25 a gallon.

The funny thing is, seems like there are a bunch of folks at the gas station now.

As if they all have somewhere to go, when they didn't a few months ago?

Just pray it stays this way.
But I have asked a few of my buddies that are economists, and they have no explanation except that OPEC hasn't cut production yet, but even with that they are unsure what will happen.

For those of you planning on stockpiling fuel, how do you plan on stabilizing the gasoline?

Are you going to buy a lot of Sta-bil?

Now, there's an idea. But, I wonder how many trips back and forth to the gas station will it take with a 10 gallon container.

Its only going to stay low as long as we are in a recession. People aren't buying goods+people uncertain about their jobs/future+low demand for fuel in the economy=low fuel prices.

Uou will find that even opec countries like venezuela are hurting due to the low demand since their economy relies on a minimum of something like $70 a barrel of oil. With oil being in the $50 range, they are finding they cannot afford social program and other expensive expenditures in their country.
