I have a recommendation for an alignment shop in San Diego.

It is Vista Brake Service and Supply.

I had lowered my MR2 Spyder with coilovers and needed an alignment.
The technician asked what type of alignment? Stock, race, autocross?
The alignment took about an hour and a half with adjustments, test drive and another adjustment with drive. I drove home and took it through some twisty roads. It handled very well.

Vista Brake gives you thirty days to return if the alignment is not satisfactory. The staff is very knowledgeable and professional.

^^ lol he just planned your whole day. I have heard good things about vista brake as well. I have used Rush motorsports in Santee, they can align your car the right way. they arent cheap but they arent going to break the bank either.

 

Vista Brake and Alignment is by far the best shop I've been to. They charged me $65 for a four wheel computerized alignment. Their tech, John, sets up SCCA cars. He asked what I liked/disliked about my G's handling, what I was trying to achieve,
took initial readings, made suggestions, and then the adjustments. Car has never felt better. He takes his time (1.5 hours) and is careful with your wheels, front bumper, etc.

Here are my alignment shop rankings (I've been to all):

1) Vista Brake and Alignment, $65.
2) Lutz Tire and Alignment on Market St, $95. They do a lot of SCCA as well. Terry is their tech.
3) Clarence Brown Alignment, ~$120. Nothing special, non-computerized, and expensive.
4) Big-O, $55 with a coupon. Not bad.

 

^Are you running any aftermarket A-arms at the moment SponGer?

 

^^No front A-arms, but I have Eibach toe bolts and camber arms in the rear to go along with my Sportlines and Tokicos.

Grant, a g35driver member, works over at Goodyear. He's done a couple hundred G/Z's probably. Look him up on that forum, he posts in Socal and a lot of people know him.
