well since we can't get a weekend date, i will post pone this gathering until 2010... not everyone can bail out of work.. and i think logistically, a weekend date will benefit everyone...
what i will do is :
1. set a firm date. if you can make it, great, if not. oh well
2. try to get some sponsors to come out and share the 'love'
3. confirm at least three instructors to come out to teach some of the newbs
4. keep the costs low.

btw Cheston, not sure if you've heard.. another recall for the Evo.. official recall letter will be sent out end of Sept.
Mitsubishi has issued a recall for 6,903 Lancer Evolution, Ralliart and Sportback vehicles from the 2008-2009 model years, according to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration.
The recall affects vehicles with turbocharged engines because of the way the fuel return pipe is attached to the engine. Frequent operation of the vehicle at certain engine revolutions could result in damage that may cause a stress crack to develop at the fixed portion of the fuel pipe.
If the stress crack develops, the pipe could leak fuel, and if an ignition source is present, start a fire.
Mitsubishi will replace the fuel return pipe and add two attachment brackets to tamp down fuel-pipe vibrations. Dealers will perform this service free of charge.
Owners may contact Mitsubishi at 888-648-7820 or NHTSA’s hotline at 888-327-4236.

thanks cheston for organizing this. you're probably the only one with enough connects to do this! i will definitly be down... but can we do this NOT end of march or april? i will be overseas. any other time would be fine. i wouldn't miss this for anything! hahaha.
