Default Tinted Taillights "Non Correctable" cvc 26101

Just wanted to post some information about a NON CORRECTABLE tinted light ticket I recently received and how you CAN correct it and pay only the fix it ticket price. (Currently $25 in CA)

My ticket was $360. I tore my tint of my lights and went down to the CHP and had it signed off on the back of my ticket. Went down to the court and and told them I had the violation written off and I paid $25 right then and there. SO, point is, ignore the non correctable part of the ticket, find a CHP to sign it off, wait in line at the court and you will save $300+, Hollla.

I plan on leaving my tint off. I rather not take the chance of being rear ended and it being my fault.

Many people already know about this. It's simple. Same thing goes for window tint and exhausts.

Good to know. I googled the subject and from what I read not many people know about this. Just wanted to spread the word. Thread can be closed.

No waiii!?!? I didn't know this as well.

What if I lost my copy of the ticket? Can I just get a copy from the courthouse?

And does anyone know if this will work with more than one violation? Because I got one for plates, and tint.

Repeated violations might be iffy.

You took it off to drop a ticket before, but you reapplied the tints, etc. If they see repeated offenses, they may still fine you.

I was stopped and got rear ended and they said nothing about my tail lights. And they were BLACKED out at the time, nobody said anything about not seeing them... even the cop.

Maybe it's cuz I live in GA lol

edit: Wow just realized I somehow ended up in the California forum. Interesting lol my bad

I was lucky enough to obtain a used set of oem tails just in case I have to do the swap... I say if ya get a fix it ticket, just pop off a buddy's set of lights and return them after all has been checked. Done deal.
