Default TP in SoCal

Resonated or not, has anyone been bothered, ticketed, impounded by having these on their car? If not, how long have you had them on and is it a DD. Thanks so much for the input.

it honestly depends where you are at etc...

i think if you drive like an ******* with a loud exhaust you will get rolled i see other Z guys who arent on these boards who totally drive like shiet.. i feel its all to your descretion and of course how your car is setup im running nismo exhaust which is loud when u want it to be and quiet in low rpms works wonders looks stock and is quality

if youre running single or somethibg barrel-like with TP youre bound to get more sweated just my 2 cents

Yeah I have the Bassani, which is loud, but its missing something, hence the TP. I dont drive like a retard as I see many california drivers with or without a z do everyday. I guess its all on the cop.

TPs are useless unless you're turbo'ed, in my opinion. They'll just make you loud, obnoxious, and you'll lose torque. This is speaking from first hand experience.

Yep I had the strup tp with nismo exhaust with the resonator removed, ran that set up for about 4 months. The car had a nasty raspy sound sorta like a Honda fart can, car smelled like exhaust fumes all the time like an old muscle car. I really didn't like them I would just go with some high flow cats they get rid of the raspy sound and they pass smog

Boosted for 6 Months with APS 3.5" down pipes, APS 3" TD exhaust...super loud and no tickets yet (been next to several cops on the streets with it). However, not my daily driver though. Driving mellow is the key.

+1 on the mellow driving - also helps not to have all your junk visible from the back either - ala bumper tuck., Ti tips,,,- ie - I've seen stock nismo's get pulled over for their exhaust...

All while chasing you! Cops pull over big C, then they realize that he is 6'8" and they end up apologizing.
