I was driving 70 mph westbound on I-10 at Friday 8:00 pm, got pulled over in Ktown area for speeding. I told the cop I just simply followed the traffic, some BMW are even faster than me. After he had all my documents, He asked me how fast I drive. I told him 70, then he walked away without any words, WTF. OK, few minutes later, he gave me the ticket, I notice he wrote 74. I asked him if there is any evidences such like speed gun used, I need to see it, since the number is so accurate. He stuck for 2 second and said, "NO, I DON'T HAVE, I DIDN'T USE LASER GUN OR SPEED GUN , BUT I NEED YOU SIGN IN THE BOX" After i signed it, he passed the ticket to me and left without any words, what the hell!? This A-hole seems in a rush to give me ticket, what is going on here in Los Angeles?

I'd contest the ticket.





You don't have to be at a certain limit before you can get a dui. Be glad you weren't in any type of accident, your fault or not, because you could have been screwed.

 

You can try to contest the ticket if he did not have an accurate way to clock your speed. That does suck though. I remember when I lived in SoCal and you could easily get away with following the flow of traffic around 80+. Then again, I'm not sure how much they enforce the highways nowadays.

what did you sign????????? Admission of guilt? In indy I have never signed nor will I sign a ticket until I mail it in... that is when you sign admission, no contest, or not guilty. Must do things different there in LA!?

i got pulled over for speeding once and i was also going with traffic, but i got lucky and the cop just gave me a fix-it ticked for my black tail lights, no front liscense plate, and tint

but going with the flow of traffic doesn't work anymore, if the cop wants to write it he will, try to contest it and see what happens, but good luck once again.

 

Fight it by written declaration, saying you checked your speedometer and describe a car that passed you on the right

 

yeah i hate that crap, just cause you drive a sports car, they automatically catch you and say you're speeding -_- i say you contest that in court and if he didn't showed you no proof of the speed gun saying you went 74 and then was a *** about it, but the hard part is if you have no witnesses such as a passenger its hard fighting by yourself against police cause sometimes the court automatically sways against you

I think any alcohol in your system is a DUI. anything over .08 is a DWI. Not really sure but that's beside that fact that your're a dumba$$ for drinking and driving

 

 

lol im going to court tomorrow for going 75 on a 65 zone on the I-10 as well.. middle of the night and there were cars going 85mph but they pull me over instead... FTP = FCK THE POLICE

 

honestly california is broke as hell and trying to find any excuses to add revenue to our broke, exhaust budget...

ive been in ktown for the past few weekends and literally like 2 weeks ago i counted 8 DUi stops as i was posted up at the usual spot i hang out at... 8??!! within a 1.5 hour period, hella cars being towed etc...

this is all because cali is hella broke, we are a f-cking liberal *** state spending money on many things unecessary ...

I have heard the LEO's are not going to give the "buffer"(+5 to 10mph over speed limit) when it comes to speeding. This is all attributed to the state being broke.
