Default Good and bad customer service for parts or service. Any examples?

Hello fellow Z Enthusiasts,

I had a day of good and bad service on 07/07/2010.

I had a bad experience at Advancedjdmparts.

I was looking for hood dampeners and drove to NR G innovations in City of Industry.

NR G Innovations deals with dealers/distributors rather than the average consumer. I was directed to Advancedjdmparts(same complex site). The NR G sales representative stated that, "They deal our products and see customers". I thanked him and walked.

It was 9:25am. The door was locked. No lights. I walked around and saw many nice custom cars. There was a young man climbing out of his red Miata heading to the warehouse door on the building. I asked if the store was open. He stated, "It should be. I'll get someone to unlock the door."

I thanked him and walked to the door. I waited 15 minutes. I looked around and decided to leave. As I walked back to my car(parked by NR G) and started to drive, a female arrived and stood outside the door. No one came out to help her.

Door locked.

Has anyone had a similar episode? Were the staff busy with inventory?

Well that same day I received excellent customer service.

I drove to APR Performance/Carbign Craft in Walnut(10.5 miles away). I was interested in carbon fiber mirror covers.

I was greeted by Peter(sales representative?). He brought out items for my Z. Their radiator cover(cooling panel) did not fit my 07. I purchased the CF mirror covers. Peter graciously provided a catalog and decals. I thanked him for his time and drove home.

Some pictures of APR Performance/Carbign Craft.

I enjoy seeing local manufacturers. I love it when they are willing to greet regular consumers for a small sale. I understand that most will not.

This was my personal observations and I want to apologize if I offended anyone.

Thank you for your time,
Lboy06.

some of these reputable shops really need to train their employees. Most of the shops are great but many needs to give their employees direction on people skills.

You can expect the very same type of service from us here at Extreme Dimensions as you received from APR. It is pretty nice when you walk into a place of business and you're treated well isn't it? Makes you want to spend more money (or so we hope lol)

I do agree with you. It can take one bad apple to ruin a good reputation.

Here is the finished product. The decal was placed by me.

Sorry my ride was a little dusty,

Default Different manufacturers.

Hello Klaze1,

I noticed that you purchased Circuit Sports CF mirror covers.
Contact information on their website is:
E-mail Circuit-Sports USA. Info@circuit-sports.com
US Distribution Center. www.phase2motortrend.com
E-mail: info@phase2motortrend.com
Order: +1-800-745-1703

I have purchased from Alan at HR Autoparts. He is a stand up guy.

I purchased my CF mirror covers from Carbign Craft.
The covers come with convex lens mirrors for $169.95 without CA tax.
Please see website. http://www.carbigncraft.com/catalog/...products_id=11
They are located at:
Carbign Craft, Inc.
21037 Commerce Pointe Dr.
Walnut, CA 91789
They are closer to LA than Oceanside.

They are different manufacturers with similar products.

I hope this helps,
Lboy06.

Default Water spots?

Hello fellow enthusiasts,

I am updating the product quality.

With the recent rains, I have lots of water spots on my vehicle.

Unfortunately, (on the mirrors) it is more permanent.

I have used multiple cleansers and products with no positive results.

I purchased a CF hood prior to the mirror covers and the hood is fine.

I emailed the company about how it can be improved (thicker clear coat, starshield cover).

Thank you for your time,
Lboy06.

Default Update: Great followup

Hello fellow SCers,

I received an email back from Peter (APR Performance/Carbign Craft in Walnut).

He gave me a brand new CF mirror cover set in exchange for the old set .

Peter and APR Performance/Carbign Craft continued with their excellent customer service .

He stated that he has never seen damage like this in the past and the covers are guaranteed for one year.

I may have received a bad batch.

Once again, thanks go to APR Performance/Carbign Craft in Walnut.

It took me 4hours for the round trip drive on 12/28/2010. Nonstop.

Thank you for your time,
Lboy06.
