Ran a couple runs at the Mojave Mile yesterday...standing start with speed measured at the mile mark. I have a 2008 350z Nismo with 280 whp and 3380 lbs w/out driver.

First run was 143.7 mph
Second run was 143.3 mph

It was interesting to try but don't think I would ever have a need to do it again unless I jumped whp by quite a bit. Saw a couple other Z's there as well. One guy had a huge nitrous tank and said he runs an 80 shot.

Thanks! Forgot to mention that Doug, one of the instructors for extreme speed, hit just over 164 mph with his Z06. HP and TQ are good stuff

 

Which z06 does he drive? The silver one with the tail pipes that face downward?

Yes, it is a speed run. Standing start and see how fast you can go in a mile (speed is measured at the mile marker). One of the "challenges" in the show I am part of otherwise don't think I would have paid to do it.
