Was the dude bummed out that he was now out all that money that he paid on craigslist? He's the one that is going to end up screwed in this whole deal if he's legit. That's why I don't like the idea of buying anything of value on Craigslist that has a serial number.

It's his bad for trying to flip some wheels without verifying how they were acquired in the first place. This is a good lesson to all, verify or you could be out of your cash and the item.

It is also possible to that the seller is a fence and took a calculated risk on this transaction. Now he's going to rat on the theif and be dead/knee-capped by the end of next week

Glad you got your stuff back either way.

You guys should make sure the real thief gets caught and the buyer gets compensated for the fiasco... I mean that whole thing could have happened to anyone.

This thread gives me hope. My Nismo stocks got stolen right after thanksgiving. Hopefully I can find them somewhere.

You are right though, insurance is a ****ing headache.

Or if he's a good fence, he already had a good contingency plan in place and he's going to lead the cops down a dead end.

Or both thief and fence end up choke slamming themselves off a bridge into shark infested waters next to the bacon factory.

Good im glad you got your wheels back. Get extra wheel locks whatever it takes to secure them. Some one tried to jack my Nismo thankfully i have 2 sets off wheel locks & tilt sensor alarm that worked .They then scratched up the wheel and center cap

I haven't gotten the check yet. I guessing it's still in the mail. I'm gonna call up my insurance company on Monday and let them know I got my wheels back and how it happened. If i get to keep that 5500 that would be awesome!!! I would pocket 4400 after I pay my deductible.
