Default New Guy Here - I don't own a Z

Wassup guys/girls! Newbie here to the Z forums. I don't own a Z actually. LOL. I own a Genesis Coupe 2.0T. Just decided to join this forum mainly to get to know the Z community. My coworker has 2005 350Z. Also signed up cause the wheels with my coupe share the same lugs and similar offsets so I might be looking for some aftermarket rims some day. As for now just wanted to say hello to everybody here in SoCal.

Hey Nelly. Welcome to the Z forum (and more specifically the SoCal Z sub forum)
you'd be surprised how similar the Genesis is to the Z platform. i think the Hyundai engineers "borrowed" some design cues from the chassis and if you actually take a look at the V6 engine vs our VQ, its almost a direct copy with some tweaks here n there.

too bad alot of the mods for the Genesis is KDM only (as far as i know), but would be nice to see more RWD platforms around.. besides. your genesis shares the same wheel spec sizes as the Z/G so it makes shopping for used wheels a little bit easier

Thanks! The GC is like a hybrid copy of a bunch of car makers. LOL. Hyundai has been doing that since wayyyy back in the day. Its only now that their brand has picked up its pace with the Sonatas and Genesis Sedans that started it off. The funny thing you mentioned about the wheels is that my PIAA Super Rozzas that I have came from a G35. LOL. But I'm looking to eventually sell these and maybe get something else.

Welcome to the site! I was really close to getting a 2.0T R-Spec instead of my 08 Z.

Thanks guys for the welcoming. Maybe I can meet some of you guys up one day. I'm usually at the GC meets and we things from time to time. Here's a video of one of the bigger meets. All kinds of cars but I recorded all the GC's. Was Apr of this year at PH Hyundai/Mazda. My car is the 2nd to last and this was before a few other mods.

Yes they do. My brother had one for about a year and a half and just sold it for 300 less that what he paid for it. Then again, he did put about 1500 into it and sold it privately so that probably helped.
