Well, I'd like to try and make the Angeles Crest Hwy run a weekly or bi-weekly thing. You can see our previous post and pictures right here.

Due to some folks that like to party hard on Friday nights, we've changed the time to 9am to accomdate you...hint...hint! We meet at the Shell Station right off the 210 at the Angeles Crest Hwy Exit

PS: I know some people are doing the SD Dyno day thing on Sat, so I am not trying to poach people from that event.

I'll try to make it again. We didn't leave until well past 8 am last time anyway. Maybe we should set the launch time at 9 and ask those that want to talk shop prior to arrive early?

For those that may be wondering, our pace on the last run was very relaxed. Angeles Crest is pretty notorious for both accidents and traffic enforcement, so we chose to enjoy the twists and turns, but kept things tame on the straights.

 

I'm such a newbie at this...that's cool! Looking forward to meeting all you guys!

im in....need dir from the 91 in riverside please.

 

Here' my take on a good route from the 91 in Riverside:
- 91W to 71N
- 71N to 57N
- 57N to 210W
- 210W to Angeles Crest Hwy/2
- L on ACH to the Shell Station on your left, just over the freeway

Or, if you're close to the 60 in Riverside:
- 60W to 71N
- 71N to 57N
- 57N to 210W
- 210W to Angeles Crest Hwy/2
- L on ACH to the Shell Station on your left just over the freeway

Pay attention to the 210 in Pasadena. Watch for signs and keep to your right or you'll end up on the 134. If that happens, it's no big deal - just take the 2 north and continue to follow signs for the 2 north until you reach the Shell station.

Hey I'll be there, but w/ my Maxima... . Performance Nissan will have my Z till about 3pm so I hope you guys don't mind a sedan on your trail. I'll be in rear, if I can keep up.

 

what time should we start showing up?

 

We'll start showing up around 8am...that is what time I will be there....give or take 10 minutes.

No worries on the Maxima...I've driven one and they handle very well! You'll be just fine. You can even lead if you want to throw off the cops. We take it very easy (legal) on the straights, and enjoy the curves.
