Default Orange Coast Infiniti [Beware]

I don't know how many people have dealt with Orange Coast Infiniti.. but just wanted to make a log of what's going on right now.

I ordered the Motordyne XYZ pipe from Orange Coast Infiniti on April 3rd and was told it was going to take a week for it to arrive from Motordyne. Sounded reasonable and I said okay.

I called them on the 9th and asked if it arrived, and then they said "oh its going to be here sometime next week." I asked why and they just said "because its coming next week."

My initial reaction was "okay, maybe its really just on back order or something."

I called on Saturday and asked if they ever got a tracking number and was told that the manager probably has it so call back monday.

At this point I thought it was really off so I called Tony at Motordyne. He said they've been in stock and since Motordyne is located in California I deduced it should (at the longest) take 2-3 business days to ship. I think his accounting department wasn't in on Saturday so he told me to call back Monday 10 a.m. I will ask Tony if there was an order placed by OC Infiniti and if there wasn't... going to ask for a refund from OC Infiniti. If that doesn't work.. charge back and taking it up with BBB

Whats even more shady is that they used to list Motordyne products on their eBay website and now its all gone. All there is now is one floormat. If you look at their website it says

"OC Infiniti partners with the top manufactures in the automotive industry such as: MOTORDYNE ENGINEERING, MACKIN INDUSTRIES, STOPTECH , STILLEN ,TANABE, K&N ,etc."

Usually I don't post anything before things are resolved but this is SHADY!!! Will update tomorrow.

I don't know if I'm in the wrong by thinking that this is weird but.. just wanted to put this out here in case anyone was thinking about ordering parts from them.

I would wait after today, if nothing request refund. Just to let you know a) it really hasn't been that long. Processing payment takes awhile. B) why would you order from a dealer? There is so many site sponsor, you would bound to get a better deal. But at the end of the day, it's your call.

Is there a reason that you didn't just order the part directly from Motordyne...?

As you stated, their HQ is in SoCal ~an hour away from OC...

Oh, I know it hasn't been a long time and it's normal to wait about two weeks to even two months depending on the part availability.

1) My payment was with a CC, and those transactions are immediate.. Doesn't take any time to process. Debit takes about 2-4 days to even a week. So that's pretty much ruled out. I paid IPP for a part on the same day and it arrived last week, and that part was made to order by AAM.

2) You're right. that vendors may have been cheaper but I already purchased it so... I will go with vendors next time.

3) I went to Tony's website to get a shipping quote and it ships to OC Infiniti's zipcode in 1 day. I'm familiar with how business shipping works and it (usually) does not take two weeks for a package to ship unless it is out of stock (which it was not).

Normally I don't mind waiting... but their receptionist was ridiculously rude, none of the parts guys seem like they know what's going on without their manager, and the tone of Tony's voice when I mentioned to him that I was told it would take two weeks for the pipe to ship out has me a little bit paranoid.

We'll find out soon I suppose but next time I'm definitely ordering from our vendors.

I ordered from OC Infiniti because of their pricing. It was at about a ~10% discount which is not bad for BNIB.

I agree with ordering from Motordyne itself isn't cheap. I looked everywhere for my exhaust and shipping was an extra 200 or so dollar from Tony. I got a better deal from B2 auto.

OP didn't realize it was credit card. Also I tried looking for the seller on EBay and nothing. Strange.

Yeah!! MD products are great (:

Update: So I talked to Tony and he said that he looked over the stock and they had everything except for the V-band clamps. That's why it hasn't shipped yet so I guess things are okay!

In light of everything I prematurely posted something and I do apologize for that, but the customer service at OC Infiniti isn't really that good.. Should have known better. Still don't like the fact that their communication with their customers is just plain bad. I guess you get what you pay for.

Did you contact from this forum or their website. Their website says 76 shipping from Fed Ex. I'll be honest did not try from this forum.

Hmmm thats funny I just purchase the same XYZ pipe from OC Infiniti, just spoke to Tony from Motordyne, he stated that he has the XYZ pipes and resonators but the only issue he has going is that there are no clamps and that is the only reason he hasn't sent the the pipe to OC Infiniti. I also have ART pipes coming on the way. If you feel that OC Infiniti rubbed off on you the wrong way, you do have the right to get a refund and on top of that it wouldn't be a problem for OC Infiniti I've dealt with them since they've been open.
