Default Avoid VR Wheels

Just a heads up...

DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH VR Wheels / VR Motoring
Worst quality job, horrible customer service, and absolutely not worth the money or the headache.

I sent my wheels to be powder coated white, and have the lips polished, and when I picked up my wheels, 3 and a half weeks later (after they said 2 weeks) the job was not what I paid for.

When I picked up the wheels, there was trash and dirt in the white powder coat, and one of the employees, in front of me said, "Oh that's there because we sprayed them outside"

Outside, they have a powder/paint booth!! Why weren't my wheels done in there!?

The lips, which were supposed to be polished, had swirl and hologram markings in the lips, not because the lips were trashed or in bad condition, but because they were polished incorrectly.

I also noticed that the sealant was fresh....why was it fresh when the wheels were said to have been put together days prior? My conclusion is that they forgot about my wheels, and did a last minute rush job.

I contact them about resolving the issue, of which they said to bring them back, when I asked for a time, I again kept being put off, as they were bringing in new inventory. I sent my last email saying that if they couldn't get to it, or reply that a refund or some form of compensation would satisfy the issue, and have yet to hear a reply.

FIND ANOTHER WHEEL REFINISHING SERVICE, BUY WHEELS FROM ANOTHER COMPANY, AVOID VR WHEELS!

Call and ask for Jack (owner), pretty reasonable guy. Stay calm and talk through it vs threats and ranting. Will get you further. I've had wheels done there before and they came out clean. They probably did do a rush job on your set possibly without the knowledge of the owner. Another thing they do over other shops is weld up any rash instead of grinding off the lip making it thin and more prone to cracking. Hope this helps and you get it resolved.

Had my wheels built by them, only problem was they put the wrong barrels for my fronts. So the tires I ordered didn't fit, went Monday and they fixed it within a few hours. I dealt with drew, good guy.

I didn't have a great experience with them either:

Not sure if you read my initial post, or misread it, but I've been trying to deal with this since February, I sent an few emails and tried calling without any contact back from them, which is the reason I decided to go ahead with the post. So I would say that I have been pretty calm, and tried to talk through this for the past 4-ish months

Polished wheels do get hazy after a while. Did you try polishing them again?

I had VR fix a minor bend for me several years ago back before I knew better places to take wheels. I've heard quite a few horror stories about them though and you really can't buy any wheels from them unless you check them out in the warehouse first.

took a while with my wheels but quality was good, although i dont think they cleared the finish as they said they would. but i haven't had any issues yet so not too bothered by that. and I take more care than with previous sets.

Did you pay before the wheels were completed or when you picked up the wheels? If you paid when you picked them up then you accepted them in that condition is what a court would say (according to my college professor)
