Anyone doing the Acura LA Bike Tour?
Yes, I know it's not Z-related, but is anyone planning to do this event on March 7, early in the morning right before the marathon?
It's basically a fun bike ride around downtown LA following the course of the marathon, about 13 or 14 miles. It's not a race. Lots of fun as you get to ride on the streets of LA without having to worry about getting smacked by a car.
I did this last year and had a blast. About 15,000 people on bikes. If you're interested, you can register at the LA Convention Center on Saturday, March 6.

I've thought about it, but I haven't been on the bike in a long time. Once daylight savings time goes away, I typically revert to running so I don't have to ride in the dark. Of course 26+ miles isn't really all that challenging on two wheels. I suppose it's early enough in the day to make it to HIN on time.
I thought HIN was on Saturday the 6th?
The bike tour starts at 6AM on Sunday the 7th, a few hours before the marathon starts. Also, you start in the middle of the marathon course, so the total distance is only 13 or 14 miles, not 26.
If you're going to HIN, it's even easier to register for the bike tour since you'll already be at the convention center!

As long as you have a helmet and a bicycle (non-motorized), you're good to go.
